So, just using my log of stats (yes I have one and, yes, it might not be 100% accurate so please update if needed....) I thought it would be interesting to rank how new managers have done in terms of points haul / won / lost / draws etc

By 'starting' I would usually say over 10 games, simply because I always use a 10 game barometer as the 'start' of a season, however, as Scoffa only got to 8 I will use the first 8 games as the start...........will see where Big Daz ends up on this list as he progresses.............

In Descending order from best to worst ...........



Simon Grayson - W 4 D 4 L 0 = 16 Points

Chris Powell - W 3 D 3 L 2 = 12 Points

Danny Cowley - W 3 D 3 L 2 = 12 Points

Lee Clark - W 3 D 2 L 3 = 11 Points

Neil Warnock - W 3 D 2 L 3 = 11 Points

David Wagner - W 3 D 1 L 4 = 10 Points

Mark Robbins - W 3 D 1 L 4 = 10 Points

Carlos Corberan - W 3 D 1 L 4 = 10 Points

Mark Fotheringham - W 2 D 2 L 4 = 8 Points

Darren Moore - W 1 D 4 L 3 = 7 Points

Danny Schofield - W 1 D 1 L 6 = 4 Points

Jan Siewert - W 1 D 0 L 7 = 3 Points

This was originally over 8 games as that was max all managers had played......just thought would amend so you can see the stats over the first 19 games to see where they rank......

Agree - already he has two decent looking new lads and Spencer back and looking like a starter. Assuming we get 2-3 more decent lads in and some back from injury, I would expect his record to massively start improving.......will update this again at some stage
