Cannot tell if these posts are serious or Maynard really was Ann…. Personally, I think not. Wasn't their identity alluded to a while ago. I'd be astounded if a director (former as is now) of the football club was divulging such sensitive insider info and proffering their own personal opinions on club matters, whether that be on Lee Nichols bowel habits or otherwise. Some folk are so gullible. No wonder scammers and con artists make a good living

It's none of our business! Maybe not, but any decent employer should make it their business to look after their long serving and loyal employees. I hope she's been treated with due respect, that's all. I agree, but that doesn’t mean to say that they’re necessarily the best person for the job going forwards, unfortunately for them. Only in a Communist system do you come close to having a guarantee of a job for life, or in a family owned business…or in the civil service.

Many of us had those ‘jobs for life’ until we didn’t. It was fucking depressing seeing all our jobs moving to the likes of Poland and India.

Spot on! I joined the RAF on a 9 year contract. 26 years later I have 9 years left to push to my retirement at 55. Did 22 years in the RAF and loved every minute of it, initially only signed on for 6 though. Started to get my pension at 40. You can't live on it but it helps subsidise whatever job you get. I’m fortunate enough that I’ll be able to live on mine. It’s been an absolute blast so far. People, locations, job, couldn’t wish for anything more.

But if it was true, what would the club's communications director think about it all... 🤔 P45 I'd imagine but I'm not in anyway connecting the two. It's in the contracts around social media and also fan forums are on there with what is and isn't allowed. Having an account on a Huddersfield Town forum is a big no-no on there, nevermind posting. So you'd be right. As well as not being able to gamble on any single football game in the world. But that's down to the FA.

Most of the textile and engineering companies in Huddersfield were family owned businesses. My late father worked in textiles in Slawit and lost his job “thanks” to Thatcher. He was fortunate to find another job at Crowthers in Milsnsbridge for a few years, but eventually that disappeared too. He ended up working a manual job in the NHS until retirement age. Hard working, tough and proud until the very end, not least his experience at the battle of Monte Casino.

Let’s keep the anti-Thatcher and politics stuff on the Politics board. I’m all for slating her but not on here. Let’s keep this thread respectful towards an HTAFC off the pitch legend.
Thank you Ann for all you have done. Keep posting if it is you! 😄

Hope not, he's one of the good guys down there. Genuine fella. So was Anne.
Anyone working for Americans knows exactly what they are like, trigger happy reorganisations and firings etc. Too many times they throw out the baby with the bathwater, and Ann was one of our babies. Goodness knows how they will replace someone with all of that knowledge.

Do we know she’s been turfed out, or did she accept a deal to walk?
Happens all the time in most places. She’s mid 50’s, might be comfortable enough, knows she can get another job or go p/t do some consultancy etc.?
I haven’t a clue what happened, but there seems to be a lot of speculation on here.
Oh… hang on a minute, I’m on Down at the Mac(ke) it up… 😉

Well they've made a complete tits of everything else this season so I hold no hope that anything will change 😂

Something definitely a miss there. I thought she’d retired?.if so that makes Neil Warnocks stints look short!
I cannot see why she’d leave us for them. I can only assume she was pushed out.

One can only speculate that she clashed with Cartwright and/or Edwards which is a real shame given her experience and loyalty.
