Just listened to the fawning after match interview with DM.
What I hate;
No 1 -Why call him Gaffer FFS
No 2- Just like Oggy,never asked easy but respectful logical questions.The main one being,the last two games bizarre team selection.
No 3- pin DM down on his waffle.
Warnock had a harder time and gave fair answers.
No 4 -send DM for media training- he is useless and needs help.Difficult with that voice but it will help him.Yank Sport stars and managers are all trained so Nagle understands that.
He is the face Of a multi million pound business
it won’t win us any more points of course but it is pointless listening at the moment.

As much as i was a huge believer in Corberan I genuinely didn't watch a single one after his first.
I've done the same with DM already. The gareth Southgate buzzwords/Jargin that means nothing at all. Very uninspiring.

I live and work with Spanish people, as well as a plethora of other nationalities. I have adapted my way of speaking to be able to communicate effectively with non-English native speakers. Nevertheless, Corberan’s ramblings were mostly impossible to follow. |

The only time I ever listen to what the manager says is if it comes on while I'm on the way home after the game and that's rare as we're usually in my daughters car which doesn't have DAB. I haven't listened to a thing Moore’s said mainly cos I couldn't give a shit what he has to say. |

To me he sounds like a kid who has learned all the jargon from football manager 2023, throwing in buzz words but actually saying nothing and knowing even less.
But..he did ok at Wednesday so there must be something there?
It's a painful listen though I agree.

Moore like any manager at town, isn't helped by the bloke interviewing them. Raj or whatever his name is , is shocking he has the worst nervous  i have ever hard. He basically giggles his way through every interview , at first i thought it must be a nerve thing now i just think stop him doing the intervews. If i was the manager i would think, the lad is giggling so why should i answer anything he asks of me. The added cherry on top of the cake is the questions asked of the managers, are at best poor and at worst just a bit annoying after games. Yes warnock managed to make them intersting, 45 years of practice can help with that, but warnock is a master of it. Ogden is shocking also , basically the guys who get chance to ask questions are poor. |

I used to get annoyed, then I thought, what would I ask, and then I thought, did I care what any manager had to say?
However, I’m sure that there are some under 15s who relish any conversation with a club rep. Oggy, amongst others, trains young players how to deal with the media, so, there is training available. However, I daresay, Moore has bigger fish to fry.

He was clearly trying to take the pressure off the players and get something which he did a lot of in the early days, that was his first priority when he came in. As it happened we were rubbish and it just became a game where he learned who he could rely on and who not. I think the writing was on the wall for some players after that match. It was an appropriate thing for Warnock to say at the time, it wouldn't be if Moore said it now for obvious reasons, although by the time we play Leicester we might be in a similar position. Looking at the fixtures and the way we've played the past few games (and pre Warnock) I'm struggling to see where the points are gonna come from. |

Carlos spoke very quickly, very impressive in a second language! I couldn't listen to it but he always came across as intelligent, it was always just too much hard work to listen so I'd already given up by the play off season. You have to make allowances for someone speaking in their second language, I always got the impression he was using English words but putting them together in the order he would when speaking in Spanish which is perfectly understandable (or not as the case was)! DM seems like he's trying to use too many fancy words and sound intelligent instead of just being natural, I also get the impression he doesn't want to give anything away. Hopefully they'll improve somewhat in time. Maybe some more direct questioning will help, or repeating questions if he doesn't even come close to answering it. |

Some managers revel in having a microphone in front of them and a room full of journalists scribbling down their every word. Warnock certainly did. Other managers clearly hate it and feel really uncomfortable. See it as a chore and overthink every word they say to the point they come over as robotic and unnatural. Doesnt then mean theyre like that when theyre talking to the players though which is what actually matters. |
