I have to say last night's interview didn't fill me with any confidence. There was a hint of taking, meagre, positives from what was a largely calamitous performance. Actually that isn't accurate DM tried to imply we had played well in parts - we didn't (I don't count having a go when 4 down as playing well). It is never a good sign with any manager if you listen to a post match debrief and are left saying; "was he watching the same game". All our poorer managers in the past all suffered from a degree of delusional review. While I agree with you, I will say that it is not just our managers that have this delusional attitude. I can remember Alex Ferguson comming out with a right load of garbage when his team did not play well and just don't get me started on Arsene Wenger. Arsen could paint a picture that only he could think was based on a game we had watched, he could see every decision was correct when it went for Arsenal, but he was unsighted for the ones that correctly went against him. |

While I agree with you, I will say that it is not just our managers that have this delusional attitude. And both were a tiny bit more successful than Big Dave will ever be. I think that was the point I was making, it is not just managers under pressure that talk crap. I will add that our manager seems to be more lost & rambling rather than making up lies to cover up a poor performance. |

Corberan was castigated for all his undecipherable interviews when we were losing... it was never mentioned the season we got to the play off final. I never listened to Corberan's interviews. I found it hard to understand. Nothing personal against him. |

Just listened to the fawning after match interview with DM. What I hate; No 1 -Why call him Gaffer FFS No 2- Just like Oggy,never asked easy but respectful logical questions.The main one being,the last two games bizarre team selection. No 3- pin DM down on his waffle. Warnock had a harder time and gave fair answers. No 4 -send DM for media training- he is useless and needs help.Difficult with that voice but it will help him.Yank Sport stars and managers are all trained so Nagle understands that. He is the face Of a multi million pound business it won’t win us any more points of course but it is pointless listening at the moment. Don't care how he sounds, all about the performance & results - UTT |

Got to agree NW was a lot more funny. Seeing Burnley away as a free hit and me spending my hard earned money going he certainly got me with that one. Wish I taken seriously how seriously he took that game and would probably stayed at home and saved my money! A free hit means he expected to lose and if they got anything it was a bonus. Not that they deliberately set up to lose. There is a big difference. Agree, it was a game in which we were expected to lose, any point/points gained would have been a bonus none of us would have expected, as long as spirit was shown. Also mind games by the wily old Waronck |
