We need someone who isn’t Kane up front. Just not mobile enough this tournament - he doesn’t look fit. He’s not in the danger zone enough. He wants to dictate play and he needs to be further up the pitch. That said, I’m not sure if this is a Toney or a Watkins situation. Probably the latter.

Foden at full stretch is closest we've got. Typical cagey final, the semis are nearly always more entertaining. Go again second half.

Done well so far, but Kane is very frustrating to watch. He's too deep, and when the wingers have the ball there's no-one in the box as he's about 20 yards behind play.
Other than that, the rest of the team have done well, particularly Luke Shaw.

Done well so far, but Kane is very frustrating to watch. He's too deep, and when the wingers have the ball there's no-one in the box as he's about 20 yards behind play. Other than that, the rest of the team have done well, particularly Luke Shaw. The whole back line has had a good first half. Spain shading it, but England have had the one real chance. And the only stat that matters is the score. And that hasn’t changed yet. |

Other than that, the rest of the team have done well, particularly Luke Shaw. As Neville said, he wouldn't be surprised to hear Kane has been playing with injury and having injections. As much as I love Kane, I feel its time to be brave and bring Toney or Watkins on. Or even Palmer. We were always going to be way behind on possession. We have looked vert structured and Spain (touch wood) haven't created anything. Game is there for the taking. |

Kane must be carrying a knock or something. He is virtually a passenger and is not overly trying to get involved. Its really odd to watch. Nobody looks like scoring so perhaps our ability to win games where nothing much happens could swing it?? |

We're 0-0 and we've restricted them to nothing, it's better than I was expecting. The issue is Kane isn't offering anything up front. I'd get Watkins on as soon as I could.

Walker and shaw have nullified their wingers and that’s really stifled them. All tournament their wingers have been razor sharp, beat their man and then picked midfield runners. We’ve stopped that but can we do it all game.
But with Kane up front we don’t have an effective press and don’t trouble the centre halves. Crying out for Watkins to stretch the game and create space.
