That multi shade st George's Cross and patchwork side panel just looks all wrong, sorry. Should have been sent back at an early stage in design for a rethink.

Peter Savile used to design the (Umbro) shirts.
These days it looks like Jimmy did.

Getting closer. Now towns seasons finished , change of focus . Who’s going ? Where abouts you stopping ? Any Lucky enough to get any tickets ? Personally really looking forward to this, managed to get 3 tickets for different matches . One through ESTc the others through uefa . Stopping in 2 destinations Cologne and Frankfurt . The DB train tickets are reasonably priced if you’ve got tickets for the match 29.90 each journey . Hopefully the sun is shining and England have a successful tournament.

3 of us have tickets for the first 2 group games. Flying out on Sunday morning of the first game to Frankfurt and getting train up to Essen where we are staying for a night. 2 nights in Bonn after this to look around the likes of cologne and Dussledorf, before heading to Mainz for 2 nights for the Denmark game.

Gutted I aren't off. Tough justifying time away for internationals with the young en when I spend most weekends away for Town games.
Will be watching, I think we will do well. Can't see us getting to the final again though

To be honest, other than seeing an article about them increasing squad sizes to 26 a few days ago, I'd totally forgotten there was even a tournament this summer.

We are winning this!! After a terrible domestic season WE ARE WINNING THIS!!!
(I won’t tell you who ‘we’ is until after the final when I can find some tenuous and meaningless link with the winners)

I expect I will get into it a bit more after it gets going or at least once the group stages are out of the way and the real competition begins. After our season I'm taking a break from football for a bit, not even bothering with MOTD now it looks like City have (yawn) got another title.

Drive down? It's only 500 miles or so I think.

Got a one way flight booked out to Düsseldorf where we are basing ourselves for the 3 England group games, after that we have other hotels booked in Düsseldorf,Frankfurt, Munich, Stuttgart,Düsseldorf, Hamburg, Berlin,Munich, Düsseldorf and Berlin to cover all eventualities. Already taken advantage of the DB train deal to get us to Frankfurt for the second game and will likely use that again if we need to travel around Germany for the knockouts. no idea how we’re getting home yet but I’ll work out that at a later date. Tickets guaranteed for all England games.

Anyone going to Frankfurt i would be a little more discreet as in the way of wearing colours. They have the worst firm in Germany, it's a lovely city and in the past when i was stationed in Germany i always found the Germans fine and its a lovely country.

Fair play that’s going be an early start on Monday morning after hopefully a celebrating late night win for England Sunday , I’m guessing that’s a 5plus hour train journey to Munich.

They have the worst firm in Germany, it's a lovely city and in the past when i was stationed in Germany i always found the Germans fine and its a lovely country. The Germans are great and usually friendly, had many many German friends (and girlfriends) growing up. Even Frankfurt you SHOULD be okay (you're right about their firm btw) so long as you're not acting a complete dick. Loved living in Germany, the majority seemed to love us Brits back then, although I don't know if that's still the case. One thing I will say though; if you're invited back to a German's house for any reason don't reject any hospitality (food, beverage, etc) as it's taken as an insult. Not as much of an insult as if you refuse food in HK or as an Asian's house-guest, but even so. Not that you'd WANT to reject their food and beer though

A message to anyone going to Germany: You HAVE to try currywurst mit pommes und mayo. Sausage and chips over here will NEVER be the same Then there's Zigeuner or Jaeger Schnitzel (breaded pork cutlets with sauces), Schashlik (doner-like skewers), Kartoffelpuffer (like hash browns) and Frikkadella (spicy meatballs). Excuse some of the spelling, it's been a few years

When L***s has the German Market on there's sometimes a kiosk that does them. Not 100% the same but pretty close. Mam always picks up a packet of Brattys when that market is on and makes her own curry sauce that is (again) close but not 100% exact. Got any room in your suitcase for an extra traveller?

It makes me smile when I click on any stadium profile on Transfermarkt and, under "Pricing Information", it simply lists "Price of Water", "Beer Price", and "Sausage Price".
They know what they like.
