Rooney should be available soon for those who wanted him here (not me I’d like to add). I feel generally disillusioned and don’t think there’s any point changing again as we sacked the only man who could keep a squad that poor up and that ship has now sailed (ironically probably to keep one of our relegation rivals up). It was an open secret that the idiots in charge at Birmingham were going to sack a man doing an excellent job to create a PR stunt. Why the hell didn’t the powers that be at HTFC just suck up their clear irritation at Warnock and wait for a month or two to move him out with some dignity while pulling off a coup with obvious upsides, including a period of grace from fans that Moore hasn’t had (and was never going to get unless results were immediately better, however harsh that is). Dropping Pearson, far from perfect but a warrior who knows what a derby means, for an overweight, unfit chancer was the final straw for me. We knew the mismatch in squads would make this Leeds game a very tough assignment, Moore’s mistakes doomed any slight chance we had and made us look foolish. I was with Leeds fans yesterday, before, during and after - normally they would have mercilessly taken the piss. All I got was bemused condolences.

None of us had ever heard of Wagner, and none of us had ever heard of Carlos. I'll never go along with the view that we shouldn't move a manager on because we as fans can't suggest a good replacement. The DoF and CEO should be doing constant work behind the scenes to find a good fit for the club. Moore isn't it. Problem is they have gone on stats and Darren moores win percentage and developing attacking play look good. But who's looked at these stats and actually taken a deep dive into them? If its cartwright then I'd suggest he's not qualified to use stats based recruitment. Unless he quietly has a first class masters in statistics? The numbers on their own mean nothing... win % as a percentage of squad value or wages means more. I think Darren would perform poorly on that comparison. Goals as a % of xG Obviously that's a basic metric, you'd need to delve deeper still... Then you stand back and look at the character of all the candidates identified. Do a bit of research. Ask a Wednesday fan or go on their forum. See what the consensus is. Then interview candidates several times and include recruitment specialists. Then make an appointment Feels like town looked at the raw stats saw a high win % and increasing xG over time without consideration of squad value, wages etc comparative to the level and adjusting it accordingly. ...or they could have just known a bit about football. I knew enough about DM just as a football fan watching his career and listening to the odd one of his interviews. His win percentage meant FA as it was obvious it was achieved with superior squads. Like you say it's like the appointment was made with zero due diligence by someone who doesn't understand football.

Well done Kev. Warnock taking the QPR job. Just sell the club now Nagle you absolute joke. Just when you think it can’t get worse than Hoyle we get stuck with this clown. Warnock will send us down. Come on we all know that Hoyle said that when it was time to sell the club he would only sell it to someone who would take the club forward. That talk of a statue seems a long time ago now. We'd all be queueing up to paint a clown suit on it if it had happened

Is Chris Hutchings available or perhaps Paul Jewell?. Or even Dave Hockaday?. C’mon Nagle, show some ambition! We had our Hockaday moment with Fotheringham. Then did it again. Only fools make the same mistake twice, isnt that a saying. Aye, 'Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it' - George Santayana.

It’s like Kolo Toure at Wigan, he can’t set us up even on a basic level and we’ve been out of the last two games by half time. If they don’t, we don’t need to worry about players in January because it will be a League One reset regardless. Agree with your point, there are capable gaffers out there who could put this together much better.

The only way Nagle is going to get most fans back on side is remove moore or give them all a bucket of Marstons. Seriously I never wanted Moore but who should we get if the sack comes. I get a feeling this lot is like the FA who wouldn't appoint clough cos he was a bit difficult at times For me the man everyone hates is the only man available to sort this mess and thats Nathan Jones worked with poor squads, gets that siege mentality and passion but this lot wouldn't appoint him too spikey. warnock the obvious choice but would never come back or be asked.

Whoever comes in still has to work with this group of players. Sacking Warnock was a massive mistake and it was completely needless imo. Since our second season in the prem the club has done nowt but constantly shoot itself in the foot.

Since our second season in the prem the club has done nowt but constantly shoot itself in the foot. We appointed a deadbeat in Siewert and it needed a decent job from the Cowleys to rescue that situation. Controversially got rid of them but CC came in and eventually got things right. We let him walk and appointed two more deadbeats in Schofield and Buzz Shiteyear. Brought in a miracle worker then sacked him for another deadbeat in Moore. No one but ourselves to blame. Classic Huddersfield Town.

Well done Kev. Warnock taking the QPR job. Inevitable. We’re stuffed. Agreed, but haven't we even bothered to make him wait 90 days or so before taking up another appointment? Which would be about a week before Christmas. After all, we had to wait those anxious 90 days before we were able to secure Darren's services.

No! He's performed miracles with small budgets. He's very experienced and he'll also be very knowledgeable about the gems in League One and Two teams that would fit our budget

How long do you carry on with Moore though ? We should be 4pts better off now, but for his tinkering. Now we have injuries and suspensions in midfield. Apathy well and truly sunk in for me. I didnt even watch on Saturday. Took the wife to metro centre. 4-0 by the time we got there. What a joke.

I would actually snap your hand off for Nigel Pearson when comparing him to what we have. Not scared to speak his mind, done well whilst losing a lot of key players at Bristol city. Had fan base behind him despite only sitting mid table.
I’d still prefer we go left field when we get rid of Moore (this will only end one way now I’d think), a European coach keen to make an impact on our game and can bring fresh ideas to the squad but if Cartwrights little book is as limited as it appears Pearson would work for me.

Was reading about De Zerbi the other day during his spells at Sassuolo and Fosinone.
One of his coaches Francesco Farioli went and took a job at Nice. They are currently top of the French league.
Only 34, he will be wanted by bigger fish than us now.
But, with the right research, there will be another De Zerbi out there, or the Farioli equivalent yet to make a name for themselves.

I think that Cartwright's book is way out of date apart from a few numbers in the USA. He is desperately trying to get his old one updated (probably for his next job).

I'd take Nigel Pearson in a heartbeat if the twats in charge agree to give him full reign for the rest of the season with a view to a long term deal.
