Exactly. Imagine for a minute you're Kevin Nagle though. Who do you need to give you these home truths and guide you through the first season or so avoiding disaster. I'm sorry but IMO the buck stops with Cartwright mainly and Edwards. The decision making so far has been utterly appalling and it's going to cost the owner a LOT financially and reputationally, already has in fact. KN is clueless and that's not a criticism, the people he's employed imo aren't up to scratch, nowhere near in fact. Feels like we need a change already and not just the coaching team. It needs someone capable of assessing everything, accurately. The present team have shown they're unable to do that or even get close to doing it. Any football person looks at that team, squad, performance and setup and calls it immediately. It's miles off and it's an embarrassment to the club and it's fans. Conceding 80 percent possession to a mediocre team in the same league and it's not a one off, far from it. It's not long since we were frustrated doing that v man city in the PL. We're now doing it Vs mid table Hull fecking City. Can’t imagine Kev got to become a millionaire having been born broke by tolerating this kind of underperformance. Have to hope both him and Edwards have already worked out that Cartwright and Moore are out of their depth. I hope you're right. They desperately need expert advice. The type that Warnock and Baldwin would have been able to provide.

Until we get a midfielder who can really put their foot on the ball, it'll be the same I'm afraid. We haven't replaced Aaron Mooy. We saw fleeting spells from both Carel Eiting (no coincidence that when he got injured in 2021 we went horrendously off the boil) and Jon Russell, but otherwise we haven't had that. And Jack Rudoni isn't that player, as good as he is. We don't want him dictating from deeper. We want him in the opposition's half, linking and creating. Until we have players who are more comfortable on the ball in more advanced areas, we're going to record low possession. It's the only way to play when we do lack that competence, in defence of those who are playing. Getting forwards back will help - the ball just won't return as easily to put our one competent area under pressure. Hudlin's a trier, but he isn't good enough for anything other than cameos off the bench on a regular basis yet. Ward, maligned as he is, is a better player than many are prepared to admit, and paired with someone else we'd see far more from him. Equally, the last couple of games we've realised how much we've missed Burgzorg. The lad might not know what to do with the ball half the time, but he gets it up the pitch. We don't have a ball-carrier other than him, unless we count Wiles, who is as close to Lewis O'Brien as we're likely to get any time soon. That being said, we have to be bolder even with what we've got. Keeping it tight and defending for our lives won't win games. Two shots in 90 minutes is appalling. Players coming back will help but only if we're using them properly. We know next time Southampton will dominate possession, so we have to be bold when we do have the ball - have players on the shoulder, have a target man to hold the ball up, commit when we go forward. Southampton's back line has been suspect, so we need to get at them and make life uncomfortable when we have the ball. Sunderland (better side, yes, but still a team in this division) walloped Southampton by being decisive in possession. We need to use that blueprint. Agree on the needs…..so we just need to see if the hierarchy ‘get it’ come January……..💙🙏🏻🙏🏻

He knew what was required last season, a load of new signings in January (variable quality due to budget) and brought Warnock back.

A 3rd goal less draw so nearly secured by DM but for a late winner, the Hull fans who left early believing the parked double decker bus would not be breached by their attackers missed the only goal of a dour game......We now have 2 weeks to practice & perfecting defence drills, does a winless month beckon?

Good luck to the Marketing Team trying to sell the ‘Premium Viewing Experience’ they’ve just emailed out for the Saints match. Only £89!

He should be thankful that Rotherham, QPR and Sheff W are equally as bad and not been able to significantly cut the gap even though we've only got 1 point from 12. And there's still a further 4 teams within 3 points of us - not sure where that win's coming from though!

Perhaps we should replace it with "Defensive clearance of the month" or "Highest hoof of the month". 😁

Well that was one bloody sickener on Saturday for sure...
Most results were in and after an enjoyable enough day in the best local footy bar Then - Boom lets go to The KC Stadium - There’s been an injury time goal...
Could it be for Town - Surely ? There again Surely not !
Nah - What a sickener - A few swear expletives and outta the door for the last bus to ma home village...
Ach - Day ruined (I’d personally have preferred Hull City to have scored in minute 1’ and won that way if they had to win any way that’s the way I’d rather have suffered) !
So where do we go from here then ?
It’s only Southampton and Sunderland up next after the rancid International break so not much chance of much there on paper anyway...
I don’t know the answer - But one thing I’ll be sticking with HTAFC whatever !

Anyone know if Moore did his disappearance act again down the tunnel at the final whistle without acknowledging the town fans like at Elland road. No he applauded the supporters and also sorted a lift home for two fans who missed their coach back. Carry on slagging him off if it makes you feel better but grow some balls and be a bigger person Everything I have read said he didn't applaud the fans but every player to a man did. The 'And He Takes that chance' podcast said he didn't. He had the excuse of the fans singing lots of songs against him at Leeds, but at Hull that was not apparently the case. Piss poor by Moore if he didn't acknowledge the hard core that travelled and supported him and the team.

Whilst he wasn’t running around jumping for joy he did applaud the fans despite so disrespectful comment (justified or not) so not sure what is to gain by people making up he didn’t!

Whilst he wasn’t running around jumping for joy he did applaud the fans despite so disrespectful comment (justified or not) so not sure what is to gain by people making up he didn’t! I'm now confused. Up to today, the only person who said that they saw Darren Moore applauding the fans was ShortbreadPete (and a number have implied they didn't see it). His post earlier today implies he was being facetious which I took to mean he didn't really. Now you're saying he did. I'll put the same question to you as I did to Pete on Saturday (at 20:31) "Did He Pete Softboy? If he did, it was very very VERY brief & I certainly didn't see him anywhere near the away corner." I've two further observations a) If the purpose of applauding the fans is to demonstrate your appreciation to the fans (and I think it is), then given so many (apparently) didn't see it then I'd suggest Darren Moore made a p*** poor attempt at demonstrating his appreciation. b) I agree, I see nothing to be gained from saying DM didn't applaud the fans if he did. ....However, it seems just WEIRD to say he did if he didn't. What did you see that others didn't Softboy? How long did he clap & how close to the fans did he come? I might have missed it (but if I did it seems I wasn't alone). PS For clarity, I know it doesn't really matter if DM applauded the fans or not, but I find it VERY strange that some (even facetiously) would say he did if he didn't or TBH might as well not have done because few saw it.

Andy, would you as Manager have the audacity to applaud the fans after that fucking disgrace on Saturday?. No I wouldn't hence the queries. I also wouldn't have had the brassneck & sheer and utter audacity to say "I thought we used the ball better than we did against Watford, got into some threatening areas on the counter and caused them some problems". In that game we had the lowest Xg of any side in the Chamionship this season (according to an independant website)..... ....and having been there I thought the website were being generous on the Xg. I'm not sure what was in DM's head. Why not just be honest & say we basically came for a point (& TBF nearly got one). It was Anti football of the type I hope I never have to endure again.
