From Pete O'Rourke at Football Insider:Huddersfield Town, Queens Park Rangers and Derby County are plotting moves for Blackpool winger CJ Hamilton in January, sources have told Football Insider.
Hamilton, 28, is entering the final six months of his contract at Bloomfield Road – and the Seasiders could be susceptible to offers for the attacker in the new year.
Championship strugglers Huddersfield and QPR are desperate to bolster their attacking options in January and are keeping tabs on Hamilton‘s situation.
Meanwhile, League One hopefuls Derby are keen to strengthen in the new year to boost their promotion bid.
Republic of Ireland international Hamilton has impressed for Blackpool so far this season with one goal and six assists in 18 appearances.
The winger’s suitors are ready to test Blackpool’s resolve to hang onto the former Sheffield United man.
He has almost exclusively played on the right flank for the Lancashire outfit this season but can also play on the left and as an attacking midfielder.
The 28-year-old joined Blackpool on a free transfer from Mansfield in 2020 and has gone on to make 114 appearances for the club.
He has notched 10 goals and 18 assists in those outings.
Hamilton played for the Tangerines in the Championship in the 2021-22 and 2022-23 campaigns but chose to remain with them following relegation last season.
He penned a one-year contract extension in May, keeping him at Bloomfield Road until the end of this season.
The left-footer managed three goals and nine assists in 63 appearances during his time in the second tier.

My stepson is a season ticket holder at Blackpool so have seen a bit of him. I wouldn't say it would be a great signing, probably fine for where we currently are in the table, as he was for Blackpool last season, but there's a reason the article only references a league one team and two championship relegation candidates as being interested.
In short a very town signing.

Would much prefer the winger at Charlton we were linked with.

One goal in 18 appearances. Prolific…. not. He’s just a lower division journeyman and almost 29. Not what is needed, at all.

Koroma, Thomas, Burgzorg, Jones, Headley. Do we need another winger on our budget? Most of the season we've played with wing backs anyway.
We need championship quality strikers, which I'm sure Warnock said was his number 1 priority, the club failed miserably citing FFP as the reason we couldn't get any deals done, we're now linked to a 6th winger? Can't be true, surely?

Maybe it's a swap deal for Rhodes? Let's hope not.

I've suggested that we could do with cover for Sorba but I struggle to see the point of this one.
Not exactly tearing it up in Lg1, and not of an age where vast improvement is likely.
This sounds to me like the rumour we were after that chap at Cambridge who is now battling relegation to Lg2 with Reading.
If we do need cover for Sorba, we need better. Or even give Aaron Rowe one last chance would be a better option.

Crewe’s only substitution in the entire match.

Send them JR as part of a deal. Seems like a no brainer and a win-win for both clubs. They get to keep a player who is pivotal to their promotion push and who is unlikely to play here. We get a player who will add much needed depth to our wide options

Crewe’s only substitution in the entire match. I’ve seen him twice over the last two seasons: 1) an unused substitute for Stockport 2) an unused substitute for Crewe. He’s ain’t good enough, right now.

Done nothing in the Championship and would struggle to get in ahead of Koroma, Thomas, Burgzorg, Headley, etc.

We really are pathetic aren't we, we can't even get a deal over the line for a League 1 nobody who might even get on our bench now and again it's absolutely ridiculous. Nagle, Cartwright and Moore should be hanging their heads in shame over this they all need getting rid of we're a laughing stock.

Concerning if he was (if they're from a lower division they should be tearing it up and/or have the potential to improve massively), but there is no indication that this was anything other than paper talk.

Would be my left boloxx that this rumour was put out by the players agent while he negotiated a new contract for his client. I am sure he secured a decent pay rise for his player
