Referee Matt Donohue must have upset his boss, 4th Town game of the season & 3 with DM (SW & Hull).....Also did opener away at Plymouth. Dreadful referee, gave very dubious penalty v WBA, very consistently poor, when reffing Town games - UTT. |

We will get battered and probably lose 1-0 maybe 2-0. The result won't reflect the negativity in the performance and Moore will say we will work on the work with workity working en that. Towns league record at Sunderland ain't great, last victory picking up full points was way back in 1960, plenty of success in cup games on the North East coast in recent years......Odds should be 66/1 or more, it would be a huge surprise if we enter their penalty area let alone win the match....0-0 maybe?

Will be defensive again most likely.Will still watch it.Hopefully can grab something points wise.A flukey win alone would ease some pressure.Hopefully can take some confidence from second half Saturday though. I'd kill for a mugging of an away performance to win 1-0, to ease the pressure, hopefully open up the gap on the bottom 3 but you have to fear for us if we go behind early on. Hmm like Saturday? |

They’re at home and licking their wounds after defeat on the long road to Plymouth and have the best GD outside the top four (bettering Hull, Preston, Cardiff, Southampton by quite a way).
They’ve got a 63% win rate at home, not drawing once. And average 1.8 pts per game with a xG of 1.59 and an average of 3.2 goals per game at home. Losses at home were to Boro, Cardiff and Ipswich.
We don’t score (0.75 xG away, and registered the lowest xG, 0.22, in a single half of football in the championship since records began). And concede like nobody’s business (xG against is 1.45).
I can’t see passed a defeat.
I’m going 3-1, with Sunderland to score 2 in the second half.
But that’s why we love football and the Champ, stays are there to be broken!
