Why does Cartwright describe players in the international market as 'wildcards?' If you do your job correctly they're not wildcards you absolute whopper. Stick to selling clapped out Ford Fiestas lad. Cartwright thought Moore played attacking football so we’ve little hope with him.

Sounds very progressive and exciting... NOT! Maybe I'm putting a negative slant on it but SELLING players in Jan? Really? Not recalling Rhodes? Out of contact cheapo deals in the summer. So a continuation of the summer window basically! Yes, cos selling a player who will leave in summer for nothing so we can afford to buy a better player with the proceeds is a stupid policy. My point is it's not a priority, plus we shouldn't need to sell to buy, the squad is weak and tiny, plus who is gonna pay for anything we don't want plus if they have featured this season then they're needed. There have been many games we can't even fill the bench FFS! I don't want to hear we need to sell MORE players after the summer exodus and not being able to fill the bloody bench!!!!

May buy us favour further down the line too if agents and prospective players see that Town dont stand in a players ways, if its the right thing for that player. Diarra been treading water at Town for 4 years. Yuta was always using us as a springboard.

Criminal that he's anywhere near a Championship teams squad, let alone getting on the pitch

WildcardsA wildcard is somebody with an unknown or unpredictable factor. Why would any foreign player be described as that without doing research beforehand? 🤔 Because it was the EFL that named it wildcard. They probably didn't know what it means in the real world. In their context it's to do with the points eligibility for transferring from EU/abroad, nothing to do with unknown quantity like it means in anyone else's world.

I didn't even listen so was just my take on someone's synopsis! I wouldn't class myself as negative when it comes to town btw, just realistic... it just so happens that there has been very little to be positive about with recent decision making, thought so at the time and it's playing out as expected unfortunately. I'll be happy clapping once there's summat to clap about as always

Diarra been treading water at Town for 4 years. Yuta was always using us as a springboard. Treading water for 4 years? He only arrived in Huddersfield on July 1st 2019, a few days before his 16th Birthday. Since then he started playing for the U17's, progressed through the U19's and B Team, gone out on Loan to Harrogate, made his Championship Debut, called up for Mali U23s and played in the AFCON U23 Tournament, finishing 3rd and Qualifying for next years Olympics............. I'd say that's pretty good progression over the last 4 years. Maybe he's stagnated a bit over the last few months, but most youngsters careers stagnate at some point. It's a shame we're not able or prepared to put a better offer on the table for him. If we do sell him, I just hope we do a deal whereby there are some good add ons and a sell on clause. REG we should definitely sell. Solid at L1, but doesn't look like he'll make the step up to Championship football. Yuta should be sold if we can get a reasonable fee. Hope we can keep hold of Headley as he's developed really nicely. I think it'll be an interesting and busy January

His game back then looked exactly like now. Capable of turning it on, beating 2 or 3 men, quick turn of pace but not alot else. My hopes were we/he would develop the other parts, i don't see much progress from those cameo's he had. If he wants to go, let him, like you say people stagnate, might be better for Diarra to go elsewhere and start a fresh.

I think that was when we had all those injuries and that really bad run. I do though agree that he’s not developed as hoped. I think it’s a shame that he got injured in the summer of 2022, as a season long loan in League 1 at that stage may have really brought him on. I guess we’ll just have to see how he develops elsewhere

I’ve signed up. I always listened to the podcast at the gym and enjoyed it. Chicken’s writing initially rubbed me up the wrong way, but once he settled in, I started to appreciate his analysis and expertise. Yes his stuff sometimes needs a better edit, but I’m happy to pay £1 per week for decent Town coverage. And good quality journalism has never been free. You always paid through adverts, a subscription or both.
