He was dealt a crap hand and had a tough act to follow. He was understandably cautious at first with the players available but has changed things as soon as he could. He's had the majority of vocal fans on his back but how much could he and the team deliver if they felt the support?
The players are fully behind him and now is the time for the supporters to build it

Report back to kev and tell him you’re doing a good job infiltrating the fans forum to control the narrative. Me and Castle hill are doing the same paid work. I’ve done some clever posting to throw them all off the scent. I don’t think they’ve rumbled me yet.

At least he filled the bench tonight, so his attention seeking had a night off.
See how he does when he gets some new players....hopefully asap in January rather than last minute panic buys.

It ain't pretty but the players have certainly put a shift in for him these last two games. That does suggest he's already achieved something Buzz never did. If we're outside the bottom three come January that would be an unexpected bonus with reinforcements hopefully just around the corner.

Fair play to him for this past week. 4 points from them 2 games with a squad that cost hardly anything and a significant injury list is a commendable effort, from him and the players. Long may it continue! I’ve been a big critic so far, the Cardiff and Leeds games really pissed me off - but I am also more than happy to be proved wrong. Long way to go yet, but if the players are buying into him then I am looking forward to seeing how it goes, especially after the transfer window.

Always behind anyone whos our manager, i want DM to be successfull so much it hurts, he's had an hard act to follow and his results generally haven't been impressive but as long as hes our manager he'll get my support the same as Schofield and Fotheringham.

This is all I’ve been asking for (in my secret guise as an employee of Kevin Nagel to infiltrate the fans forum) It’s been absolutely crazy the hatred and nasty personal attacks on Moore, calling him thick and stuff. Not on. He’s a really good guy. He’s been in the job a few weeks under big pressure and yet he’s been totally committed to the foundation stuff- going into disadvantaged schools getting the kids into town- the next generation of fans. He made a speech at the school that was really impressive. Genuine. I got to meet him on Monday in a follow up at the training ground - which I’ve not been to for years- since Astra zeneca workers went there at lunchtime still. The players are mostly young boys really and you could see they respected DM. Also Simon Ireland was class. Had a great chat with him. They know what they’re doing. It’s just what the OP said- killer act to follow, shocking injuries and thin squad. But he’s getting a tune out of them and without Rudoni.

Early days yet but if he'd just come on DATM a bit earlier to find out where he was going wrong he'd have saved us all a lot of grief...
Hope he's learned, the fans know best

Is this the start of the Corberan out, Corberan in threads?
Will VAR be kinder to us if we play QPR at Wembley and Jack Colback gets away with one?
Or maybe this will be merged? 😉

True, think there’s a bit of rewriting history regarding Buzz. He deserved to go by the end, seemed like he had some half decent ideas but came across as an absolute weapon and I got the feeling his man management was poor. But we produced a few half decent performances under him (relative to the strength of the squad) and the squad on the pitch looked relatively united. I’d suggest it says more about the character of our squad than their manager though. Seems like there lots of honest pros, some you’d love in the trenches with you. EDIT to say the last few games under him were appalling and he deserved to go just for the Blackpool game. One of the worst bits of game management I can recall from a town team.

To be fair to him there wasn't a B team game up in Newcastle the night before this match plus Danny Ward was back.

Let's hope the club don't think a couple of good results mean we don't need major surgery in January.
Excellent couple of games, much more positive. Well done Moore.
Keep it up.

From what I’ve seen of Moores town team so far I’ve been less than impressed. The last 2 games he’s got tactically spot on and the Ipswich game was a great 90 minute performance which we should’ve got 3 points from and kicked on. Other than these 3 decent performances the rest have been abysmal apart from a 15 minute spell against QPR.
I’m now hoping that town and Moore have turned a corner, with more players coming back from injury to go with what should be a quite busy January transfer window positive results will hopefully follow these last 2 results and this could prove pivotal for our season and where we end up come May. Also what I’ve noticed from Moore’s pre and post match press conferences since the international break is that he’s talking more openly and honest instead of the rubbish he’s been spouting previously. This gives me more confidence going forward with him in charge as he’s seeing the flaws in towns performances and not glossing them over anymore as some of his comments have been laughable. Onwards and upwards. .

Must not allow decent battling performances now to paper over any cracks. The areas we're deficient in are still plain to see, we've managed 4 good points in spite of them.

A decent January transfer window and Darren will have us languishing in the top six.

He was understandably cautious at first with the players available but has changed things as soon as he could. I was behind Darren Moore from the start (went to his first game unlike the majority). I was (& still would be if asked) critical of the removal of Warnock when we did & don't accept at all the theory the organisation had little choice. The only point I became critical of DM was when he adopted tactics I regard as an anti football, abject, mind-numbingly painful to watch and (perhaps most importantly) likely to be unsuccessful (as they were). The points we've gained in the last two games were I believe (and would be interested in a counter argument) achieved because he ditched those tactics. I do not believe for a pico second he had to adopt those tactics and he changed things as soon as he could. Well done for the last 135 minutes but Please never ever EVER subject us to anything like the previous 135 minutes (with their 0.1 total Xg) again.PS Pete, you've spent a fair proportion of the time since Hull stating we had litle choice but to play that way or we'd get stuffed. You must have been apoplectic and fearful for the worse when we changed tack last night as you believed so strongly DM was previosly right. Personally, I cheered up and put money on us at 11/2. It perhaps seems I've more confidence in those players than you (or DM).

You don't get many of those in football management before you're out of a job. Add to that the massive injury list. The only striker available for Watford and Hull games was Hudlin who, shall we say, is not going to be used in situations where we are playing a high press.

Think I've made my support for DM pretty clear on here from the get go. However, it's 2 wins in 11, so I'm not gonna start the 'I told ya so's' just yet. It was by far our best performance over 90 min under DM so far, but we need to make sure it wasn't just a freak occurrence.
Onwards and upwards.
