I don't care who's bought the tickets, regular fans, 'plastics', or glory hunters...if they're supporting Town that'll do me. Can't do with these 'holier than thou' fans moaning about other town fans. There's a difference between moaning and commenting/having an opinion. No holier than thou from me...I don't care enough 🤣

If it is a sellout what will the crowd be then 54,000. I was chatting to a City fan this morning who said " the trams to the stadium are packed and that they have some right idiots" well hasn't that always been the case. I am going on the coach It's walkable (for most people) from Piccadilly - about a 25 minute relatively flat walk. The trams do get packed and I think they shut the station nearest the away end after the game so you have to walk all the way around the ground and then are behind all the home fans. Walked back from a concert once, it seemed like a right hike, same as it does from OT

Even I wouldn't consider walking from Piccadilly to OT and I'll generally walk quite a distance to save money and avoid rammed public transport

Takes about 20 mins from Piccadilly Make a detour via Sureshot or Track brewery taps, give yourself an hour or two 😉
Unfortunately I’m working in Stoke 😢

Like me you were possibly playing back in 1987 when it happened before? It was bad enough listening to the goals go in on the radio on the way back to the pub after our game; think it was 6 by the time I got there and then by the time I'd got my pint and settled in front of the telly......The classic videprinter with the word TEN in brackets just so the viewers didn't think it was a mistake. Stuff of nightmares. There's no way I was going to put myself through it by actually being there this time. Hopefully someone will bump this a week on Sunday to take the piss after a famous win/draw/narrow defeat but I won't be holding my breath.

I was only seven at the time, but I remember the score coming through on BBC as well:
“Manchester City 10 (TEN) Huddersfield Town 1”.
Should have sacked Town off at that point 😂

We went to Moldgreen Con, his parents were the stewards, and played snooker. Everytime someone walked in the score had gone up, 7, 8, 9 and then 10-1.

Walked there and back when we played Stoke there in the FA Cup 4th Found second replay and we had a special train. Stoke got the Stretford End and we had the then uncovered other end. We lost, of course. Frank could have won us the first match at Stoke, when 3-1 up and clean through, only the keeper to beat - a fellow called Banks - he thought he was offside and tapped the ball to Gordon. I believed I'd imagined it, but several others who were there convinced me it really happened.

6,103 tickets sold to Town fans...doesn't say anything on Town website about any additional being available.
Even so, that's a good effort I think, all things considered, so well done those going over...Don't forget to take loads of newspapers for the ticker tape welcome for the players...used to love those days, stuffing them up my jumper to get through security then handing them around to be torn up and chucked in the air...looks great imo.. although probably 'old fashioned' now...

When we played them in the league we got the train to Ashton-under-Lyne and then the tram from there. Had no problems getting tram to/from the ground.
I've also used the park and ride around Ashton for a gig and got away no problems after either.

Agreed but prefer the vibe and beer of the other two, Cloudwater feels a bit tired at the moment…good but prefer the other two.

I was in the social club at Walsall that Saturday. My brother lost a pint because he tried to balance it on a chair arm. Barmy.
At 2.30 there was still a snowman on the pitch.
Quick trip to Coventry to see them lose 0-2 to West Brom. Spent most of the game watching it all kick off around us.

Gladstone and his entourage must’ve accidentally found themselves in the home end for a short time, before being invited to leave the ground by West Mids finest.

City fan here in peace.
Yeah it’s a sell out so about 53,400 in the stadium these days, after being reduced from 55k a couple of years ago.
I’m hoping it’s a good game, something like a 4-2 win for City, I’m really hoping it’s not one sided as many on here are predicting.
Anyway your welcome in most pubs in Manchester if you behave yourselves, and City fans are always up for a chat.

I would not be at all surprised if the 10-1 is not just matched but increased upon. Anyway, I don't have a ticket. Got an important squash match against my mate Phil that day.
