Hello from a Bristol City fan in peace. Ahead of our forthcoming game I’m putting together the opening post for our forum’s (One Team in Bristol, www.otib.co.uk/?_fromLogin=1) match thread, which will be posted the day before the match. I would like to include some perspectives from your fans so if anybody would like to share info please do, anything would be appreciated, fans thoughts about the game, players who have represented both clubs, tales from when we’ve met previously, a fans view on your season, pubs for away fans, etc. Look forward to receiving info and to a great game.

What we'd give for mid table mediocrity/inconsistency like Bristol city these last few months, frustrating as hell for you but it'd be much welcome here for a season at least.

This has got the potential to be a great game or really dour based on both clubs performances this season . I expect it’ll be pretty open and hopefully it’ll go in our favour ! Really rate your new manager but not sure whether he’s made his impact yet ?
Nahki Wells and Kasey Palmer both players I really rate and represented both teams in recent years. Other that I can recall is Phil Jevons who flopped here for us !!!
Score guess is 2-1 Town . Matty Pearson and Danny Ward goals .

Brian Clark played for both Town and Bristol City in the 1960s. He went on to become a legend at Cardiff City when he scored their winner v Real Madrid. Also, Johnny Quigley went to Bristol City from Town in exchange for Clark.

Lets not forget Gordon Low, probably some his family members will be at the game this weekend.......Would be a great gesture to have some acknowledgement after his recent passing.

There’s a page all about the memorial game on the club website today with details of how to remember a loved one that was a Town fan at that game and who has passed away in the last year... ⚽️ 💔 ⚽️ It’s first class once again from HTAFC giving those who desire to the chance to officially remember their loved ones life and also their love for Huddersfield Town 👍

Ditto, sacking season this year doesn't seem to have the 'majority' of fans backing........Us two plus Brum & possibly 2-3 other clubs just in the Championship alone. You've taken 1200 tickets of the allocation, how many do you think will make the trip North?

They're below us in the last 4 game form table if that helps Tbf, I reckon most Bristol city fans would happily swap their recent seasons of midtable mediocrity with two playoff finals and two seasons in the premier league.

However may I politely request that you refrain from visiting Bonnie Scotland or certainly not admit your a HTAFC supporter if you do as you’ll spend your time debating this with everyone you meet, as rightly or wrongly, that’s what Huddersfield Town AFC are referred to by pretty much everyone up here, be that in The West Island or Glasgow and it’s surrounding environs in West Central Scotland ! 🏴

Think I'll start using it just to piss off the folk on here who don't like it Up The Huddy Terriers

They seem to have managed to spend a lot over the last 5 seasons or so, maybe more, and achieved absolutely nothing except for mid table mediocrity! Just shows how hard it is to get that successful formula but I'm also curious how they manage to stay within FFP rules.

Would both have helped balance the books.

Mid table mediocrity can do one for me . Not just for the play offs , but for the relegation scraps at the bottom too . The temporary feeling you get when we've taken three points with a last minute winner to move out of the bottom three is something else . It just wouldn't have the same effect if you'd swapped 13th with 12th position.. When did town last finish mid table by the way ?

Benty, the Chief and Liam Robinson were the front line for City at one point

"You might not like all the outcomes but the ride of being a Town fan is cracking" Much rather excitement than a boring, nothing whatsoever season. Although my heart may disagree

Town 'til I die. The Terriers is a relatively new nickname, it emerged in the 1969-70 season and the brainchild of the chairman or the promotions officer.

I do get it keeps us interested but nobody...absolutely nobody enjoys being stuck near the bottom all season, we've endured quite a few seasons like this in recent years and yes when safety is finally achieved it feels good but if we came a cropper one season i'd be pissed off, theres one here who wouldn't particularly want any more last game scenerios like Barnsley a few years ago, granted the relief is good when things turn out well but i'd rather be stuck in mid table thanks.

I agree. I would say that when we are having to dig out results playing 5-4-1 at home with such a small percentage of play on the ball it has become twice has hard to endure.
