I have tried to but the more time goes on the harder it is to see this working. Beyond Moore, I have no or little faith in those above to make the right choices. The way chronic under investment from Hoyle, cutting budgets and the squad to the bone has never been addressed in the last 2 seasons, the clubs learnt nothing before, during or after Hoyle came back. We are a complete ruddersless ship. What a way to celebrate 100 years since Huddersfield Town won their first ever league title and the start of the Thrice Champions journey. The fans have been so patient, they’ve tried to point out the issues but they haven’t listened. About 9k last night watching a light show and 1-3 defeat at home to Preston, relegation incoming. I'd say lower than 9k.

Its alot worse than it was under fozza, 5 wins in 21 for the big scot, 2 wins in 14 for Darumb Moore. plus we were on the up before Moore came A position of strength indeed...

I think he'll get a month after the January window closes to get an improvement. If he's going I suspect the earliest will be Feb 24. See you all in February then.

Just had a spare minute and watched the highlights.
Keeper didn’t do well for any of the goals. What’s hogg doing for the second and yuta what was he doing for the third. Definitely didn’t put his body on the line for the team.
Lots of players pointing fingers at each.
Koroma is a forward player not a wing back.
Toxic.
We all know this will end with Moore being fired. Just accept you made a mistake and get rid now.
Bottom three awaits us tonight.
Merry Xmas town fans.

What’s hogg doing for the second Hogg got outpaced, and has to take some of the blame, but Helik inexplicably drifts over to the right, leaving a massive hole for him to run into. No idea what he was doing.

Moore poor management.

It is so tricky this one, I really believe what kennyk2 is saying and that DM will be given until middle to late February to have chance to have a squad he is happier with and this is 100% what i have been told. I do wonder if this plan might change however especially with such odd team selections and performances, the fans could have a big say in this and the new ownership / management team may start to feel the pressure to make a change sooner. I am sure discussions with KN, MC & JE have taken place regarding the future of DM and if the continue to back Darren in January or move on sooner. For sure they are all aware of the current feeling around the club and they can also see the performances on the pitch, Mr Nagle comes accross as someone very loyal and someone that would try his best to make it work with the current manager I am just not sure even Kevin can keep wathcing the performances like last night and not act. Do I want the club to get rid now, after last night I really do I think we have found a nice guy and someone who interviewed well but unfotuanlty seems a little clueless when it comes to match days, time to move on and try and reinvigorate our season. Do I think the above will happen, yesterday I would have said 100% not at this time, today I am thinking its still 75% chance that DM will still be here come end of January but I now have some doubt in my mind and I believe we will already be sounding out possible replacements in the background as it is really looking like this is not working out. Getting the full fan base to be behind the clubs choices is something that KN can still acieve with some brave moves, but the longer this goes on then the more difficult it will be to get this support back, I think we need to act fast, admit it hasnt worked out and be strong enough to make the call in the next 48hours IMHO. I really hope discussions have gone on between KN and JE about MC too.

No idea what he was doing. Agree It was ridiculously easy As it was for the over dozen moves down each flank which could have resulted in a chance - that’s the bigger point than individual elements of each goal. We got away with lots similar Saturday - you’d think we’d have learnt given an obvious area Preston would exploit… As for others comments on Hogg - agree part to blame for second but don’t put that down to fitness / leggy - I thought there was only him and Thomas who kept running for the full 90. But ideally he wouldn’t be starting 3 in a week, he’s critical. Kasumu looked far more leggy and a shadow of what we saw Saturday - but appreciate recently back from injury.

I like to give managers a little bit of time but with Darren Moore I see nothing at all.
We have no philosophy No tactics Bizarre line ups Terrible in game substitutions Doesn’t engage with fans Says the same stuff pre and post match press conferences
Some of the stuff he writes on the white boards at canalsife are apparently laughable. This information has come 2nd hand not from me.
I didn’t go last night and it really pained me because none of my family did either and we have been to games for years through thick and thin. I will be always here supporting the club but until a change is made it will be from my armchair

I was there last night. I'd be very, very surprised if there were 9,000 fans there. It looked about one quarter full. We're on a death spiral. I can see us going down to div 4 in successive seasons. The club is defeated on the pitch, in the boardroom and in the stands. 'Is this a library' should be the new club song. The only thing that varies from week to week is how early the away fans sing it. Last night it was after 4/5 minutes. drama queen Full stop and we were poor last night

Just accept you made a mistake and get rid now. Bottom three awaits us tonight. Merry Xmas town fans. Well spotted, players do seem to get away with the bulk of responsibility but that’s football, once a manager (any manager) picks a starting squad he/she can only influence the permitted substitutes they have and at half time…..or try from the touch line and last night he seemed fairly vocal and gestured a fair bit all be it static (stooodstill) I for one am gutted DM has not been more influential, if anything for continuity alone! Chopping and changing is hugely costly (sacking these people is eye watering for the clubs coffers!) Looking at Bolton now and how Ian (with Atherton his assistant from Barrow) has been given what 3.5 yrs with promotions to L1 thrown in and a Wembley visit, which is time right enough to pick and develop a squad playing fairly simple but effective lower league football. Coventry showing faith in Robins ….hardly charismatic but seemingly gets a tune out of them.(mostly) I know folk are livid, want DM out etc… and yes, the footy is shite but we weren’t shite at Cov in his first game, we weren’t shite (apart from players bad bad decisions as the game went on) at Swansea etc.. it’s almost as if a home game is toooooo much to handle, and yes younger players will be terrified of making a mistake for the risk of trying. But even though I want DM to be a success I fear that fan, club, league position etc.. will dictate his demise. But the old question is who…..who will want to come…..who wants to win Hogg over so they have the dressing room? We are delusional if we think a known star who wants £2m a year wages with huge win bonuses to come and manage us. I only get to see more away games than home, so Rovers on BoxDay is only my second home game this season. We are missing people like Rudoni massively ! Games under NW (lost and won) like Plymouth and Baggies show we can put a shift in with the squad we have but not consistently. I for one am glad we have two away games, glad we have a window away from toxicity to try and build some honest “look at ourselves” players discussions in terms of who wants to wear the shirt, who wants to go down with a fight and who wants to earn a wage. What a mess. What a fecking mess this is. Any player reading some of these threads must think sod it. They as a collective need to roll up sleeves (those that chose a sleeved top) and realise fight, try, talk, get basic passes right, help the younger ones, and not kick a ball at players so hard it’s almost impossible to handle (bad choice of words) we have the experience mix. Glennon and Hoggy last night on iFollow were spot on identifying people that clearly don’t seem to care or want to get rid of the ball asap, they also did spot Ward coming off having been pumped up from scoring a rare goal for Diarra …. Poor lad, football is not his game really. Ward looked shocked - was his fitness recorder flashing low energy levels? Who knows..that was on paper a very very poor managerial tactic and Preston revelled in it. PNE we’re good mind, denied at least one penalty, played Holmes in a tricky slot, had wingers keen to get a ball in and if there not as relaxed as they were the scoreline could have been worse. Millwall and Norwich are a chance to earn some valuable points for a more happier mood on Boxing Day 🤞🏻 UTT

No idea what he was doing. Also see Sorba’s reaction to getting skinned. Ambled back leaving Pearson exposed to a quick, tricky winger. I know Sorba has been good in general recently but he has to be sprinting back there. If he does then Helik doesn’t have to come across to cover Pearson.

He's not going anywhere in the short term... Part of me thinks he won’t be going anywhere in the long term either I can hear it now from the club if we get relegated " in Darren Moore we believe we couldn’t have a better man at helm to lead us back"

I was all for giving DM a extended chance but the atmosphere where I sit is extremely toxic and whatever the results are I don’t think he can turn the crowd around. I’ve seen a number of shit managers in my time but I’ve never seen such negativity towards any of them as I’m seeing towards DM. The hostility is from minute one, including booing him before the game starts. Don’t like changing managers so quick but I honestly think he is never going to Win the fans around.

He's not going anywhere in the short term... You've proven yourself to have some decent knowledge on occasion, so I'll trust your judgement here. Can you please share any reason why this is persisting? Do the owners think they know better? Club probably can't afford. Probably still paying off the numerous other managers that have only been at the club for 20 games or so.

No idea what he was doing. Thier winger has skinned Pearson on a few occasions so was probably moving across to cover. Hogg was with the runner comfortably so the danger of the run was covered. Hogg then let's thier man run off him and score, and then screams at Helik. I'm suprised Helik didn't twat Hogg the way he was screaming at him.

Lees should have shuffled over too, even if it meant leaving his man at the back post. The biggest threat was in the middle as that was closer to the ball and to goal. If some PNE fucker swings an awesome ball to the back stick fair play but these are just basics.

Constantly having a go at players for any mistake anyone makes, but never ever have I seen him put his hand up when he makes a mistake, just puts his head down or bollox someone else as he did for the second goal last night. He should never have let the lad run off him like that. He should have been able to see Helik had drifted over to cover Pearson, so should have been sprinting with their player to track him and cover Helik. Jonathan Hogg has been a great servant for the club, of that there is no doubt. But the fact that he is still the first name on the team sheet highlights why we are where we are. We should have replaced him with better when we were relegated from the Prem and Hogg should have become a squad player, not the first name on the team sheet.

Careful, somebody (probably htafcokay but not sure) posted pretty much the same and got pelters. For what it's worth I think he IS a good captain/leader most of the time, but lets himself down with examples like Helik last night. I wouldn't be surprised if Helik had a word with him after the match. Poles (those that I've known) don't take shit that's not warranted.

You make a good point, Hoggy should be used sparingly or as Whitehead was in his last season with us. What this highlights is how weak we are in midfield. To play essentially 3 defensive midfielders last night but still be unable to press or stop PNE from dominating the middle of the park was pitiful.

I don't like the personal stuff like he sounds stupid and he's thick etc... It's unnecessary, but, there doesn't seem to be a plan.
With Wagner you could see a plan almost straight away, Corberan you could see a plan and then when that didn't work he learnt to adapt and you could almost always at least see what he was trying to do. Results weren't great straight away with either but there was something there. Warnock was about grinding results out but it was always going to be fairly short term, this was supposed to be long term which for me should have a long term style and a plan to get players in that will fit in to it. But what is it? What are we looking for? What sort of player do we need? The only thing I can think we're looking for is better quality than we have, which is fine but what sort of player? Do we want a quick striker or more of a target man? Do we actually need a midfielder that can pass or one that can just tackle and clog it? Apart from being better than we have I don't really know because I don't know how we're trying to play.
Unless there's some grand plan for January where it all comes together then we're in trouble. I think it's already quite late for January when all targets should really have been identified and ready to move on and we'll end up end of February/beginning of March looking for a temporary saviour again.
The length of contract makes it difficult but he's got to go really.

At his age Hogg under a decent manager with a good squad would have the Dean Whitehead role. Start a few, come off the bench to impact the game. Not play 40-odd full games a season.
