Okay, so instead of the owner eloquently addressing the club's abysmal performances and our weak squad, you'd rather he said nothing... and instead, we let results on the pitch do the talking? The same results that are awful because of our terrible squad and poor manager? It's muddled thinking, certainly. KN can't win. Pelters for not communicating before. Great post from Mr Nagle: no ego, not defensive, no specifics so everything is apparently under review, another commitment to try improve things, no knee jerk reactionism or over-promising. Call me easily pleased but I’m massively heartened. I must be easily pleased as well. DM's win % as a manager - WBA 48% Doncaster 45% Wendies 51% Town 14% He'd managed two teams in the Championship before us. His first 14 games at WBA, just relegated from the PL, produced 24 points. His first 14 at Wednesday he managed 13 (Covid and pneumonia notwithstanding). Hands up those who anticipated that he would be closer to the former than the latter in his first 14 games here. |

If he’s wanting to get a feel for the place, then hopefully he’ll be stopping somewhere in Huddersfield and not traipsing back and forth to Leeds every day. He can sample the delights of Da Sandros, the Three Acres etc. and maybe get himself to Centros for some cheesy chips if we’ve a night game? Tiresome bickering fans aside we now know Mr Nagle is engaged and is holding is delegates to account
We would all like some immediate action but we have to trust the process (sorry...) and challenge Mr Nagle if things don't improve over the next few weeks.
Saying this that doesn't preclude an immediate decision being taken on DM if performances don't improve. Despite any mitigation poor tactics, insipid performances and rank bad results are still poor tactics, insipid and rank bad. There can be little excuse.
The expectation has been set so we'll have to see what happens.
