Let's hope he pulls through. The play off final and then this is a serious worry tbh.

Alert and responsive according to Luton, very thankfully. 2 times in what....6 months or so? I can see him potentially being told he has to retire.
Main thing is making sure he's OK, that he's healthy. Whether he plays again or not is secondary in a way.
Fully understand the game being abandoned. Would've been tough enough for the Bournemouth players and staff, but even more so for Luton, especially with it being so soon since the same thing happened.
Rob Edwards when he was clapping the fans after the game was abandoned genuinely looked like he just wanted to go and sit in a quiet room alone and cry, and understandably so, even with him knowing at that point that Lockyer was alert and responsive.
Wouldn't wish that situation on my worst enemy, or in the case of being a Town fan, I wouldn't wish that on a Leeds player, Bradford player etc. Life is more important than football rivalries

All the best to him, I hope he's OK. I can't lie and say Luton are my favourite club but I genuinely wish him well and if this spurs them on to stay up then good on them.
First and foremost you put health before everything else.
Good luck Tom.

Easy for me to say but I think he needs to call it a day for the sake of his own health and his family. I’m sure Luton can offer him a role within the club. Hope he has a speedy recovery.

Very moving scenes at Bournemouth after the game was abandoned with all the fans applauding the Luton staff. Sometimes football just does not matter.

Sounds a bit harsh but why the fuck was he still playing? Didn’t they test him after the playoff final?

Sounds a bit harsh but why the fuck was he still playing? Didn’t they test him after the playoff final? Yes, they did. As I understand it, nothing could be found and his collapse was put down to a freak set of circumstances. In hindsight, it obviously wasn't and there was something deeper. Nobody to blame - medical science is wonderful, but there are still unknowns. Glad to hear he's responsive now. What could have been a tragedy thankfully is not.

He had surgery to correct an atrial flutter in the days following the playoff final. Still a comparatively minor disorder / procedure in the grand scheme of things though.

Sounds a bit harsh but why the fuck was he still playing? Didn’t they test him after the playoff final? Very harsh, especially the phrase 'why the fuck'. Just like Erikson, obviously those in the profession had deemed him well enough to continue his career.

I am still unsure about continuing to play after a cardiac instance Atrial fibrillation carries a few potentially problems 1) Strokes. 2)Embolisms ( therefore can cause a heart attack because of clots leading to the heart 3) Heart failure .
I worked on CCU ( a few years ago mow ) so I know these to be the potential concerns.
Really hope the young man does not risk his future again

Phil Billing was the first to notice and react to get the medics on. I just read this too. What a guy and what a player. I said he was worth £20m way back and that he’d be a prem regular. Watched him boss Pogba at OT on Boxing Day. Oh the mismanagement Town!!!
