Came away from a defeat happier than the win over qpr . We looked pretty much the better team and that performance alongside the Blackburn one gives me confidence if we recruit well in January . Difference , alongside a pisspoor referee, was the strength of the bench . They brought on several accomplished championship players in McGree , Engels and even Coburn to an extent compared to ours of REG and Hudlin. Ref was extremely poor second half. Stonewall handball not given , a lot of soft fouls given , their number 24 diving four times (booked once but given the free kick the other three). Thought there were many good performances . Contrary to other posters I thought Nakayama Wiles and Rudoni all looked good but stand out was Thomas . Chapman unfortunate to concede so soon after a cracking penalty save . If we had Turton , Ruffels, Pearson , Ward , Burgzorg on that bench and strengthen up top and on the wing, I honestly think we win that game 3-1 Nakayama is reminding me more and more of Naby Sarr. Looks decent for most of the game then does something stupid or terrible. His defending for the first goal last night was certainly the latter. I think that was a mix up between him and Chapman. Yuta was way out of position covering. With a more experienced keeper it might have been a different outcome. I don’t think, defensively, we had adjusted to the substitution. Helik stuck to Coburn after that.

I can’t remember the BBC giving us this much praise in any other report:
“ Koroma and Kasumu both had efforts for Huddersfield, who played some excellent football before they were on the end of a contentious penalty decision.”

You seem to be just about the only one with this view. You have to wonder about someone who hasn't posted all season who then picks tonight, which has possibly been the performance of the season, to have a go at half the team. Can only conclude he/she has been banged up for 6 months and has just been released. He used to have a running spat with Ted about how great Wardy was too.

Can't knock any of the lads last night and thought we were very unlucky not to come away with atleased a point.
Starting the game with our 3rd choice academy keeper, missing our top scorer and first choice CB, then losing our captain early in the game and all the other injuries, I thought we looked the better side, created more and gave Boro a real hard time.
I wasn't sure if the lads could follow up with another good performance after the Blackburn game, but, if anything, I thought we looked better again.
Fair play to Moore aswell, who's been, rightly, criticised. He looks to be turning the ship around.
Unlucky lads, keep playing like that and we'll soon start climbing the table.

Watch this and tell me how their lad is horizontal with two legs into wiles from him just standing there. The ref was absolutely gash. We did not deserve to lose in any world. Looks like he played for it... the boy must practice those all week. A shocker yes, but you see them week in week out. VAR would have overturned that, but do we really want it in the Championship? Was convinced that it was a penalty, until I watched the the video, looked like a 'very clever dive,' don't believe that it was a penalty. Referee denied Town a penalty, he was very badly placed & couldn't have seen the offence, a pity' as we deserved a better result = UTT.

Do we ever get a penalty in our favour??? No. Its unreal. You see other teams getting them left right centre for bugger all. Brighton first against Spurs was Pedro's 8th pen of the season, the most anyone has scored in Europe. Then he got a 2nd 🙄

Encouraging performances, the last 2, Warnock was pundit on the match "soft penalty, Sorba Man of the Match" some of his observations.I will be interested to see who we bring in next month {to strengthen} I was amazed at the weak bench we had out. Moore is going to be given the chance with new players I guess.I will reserve judgement till I see the results. I haven,t seen a lge, table, are we still 4th bottom? all the effort and no movement if so,a pity,as the players obviously deserve better.

So glad to see so much positivity on here, despite another loss. If nothing else, it might encourage KN & show him that we're not a bad bunch of fans, we are happy if our team goes out to try & win a game & all we really want is to see some attacking football & 11 lads really putting a shift in for our club.
Despite the result, I seriously think last night will go quite a way to restoring the team's confidence that they can compete at this level, I think a lot of fans don't appreciate how confidence & the psychological, mental aspect for professionals is so important.
I, too, have criticised DM for being too negative, as to me by setting up to play so negatively just tells the players that they aren't good enough at this level. Therefore, it is only fair I praise him (long may it continue) for changing how we set about the last couple of games, I actually think last night's performance was even better than the Blackburn game.

Nakayama is reminding me more and more of Naby Sarr. Looks decent for most of the game then does something stupid or terrible. His defending for the first goal last night was certainly the latter. Don't think he can be blamed for the first goal. Helik and Lees completely out of position. Nakayama is Left Centre/Left Back. He had to come all the way over to cover the poor positioning from the other 2. He shouldn't be having to come to far across if others defend correctly. And Chapmans inexperience didn't help, he got himself in no man's land.

He's got more insane since he stopped posting regularly 🫣

Two games, two excellent performances. I don't think anyone doubts that we lack quality and depth for which Moore certainly isn't to blame. I do wonder what's happened recently for us to start playing like this. Did Kevin have a word after the tweet? Either way they've got me back onboard. Passion, playing for each other and a bit of bite. We look like we did under Warnock. We look better than we did under Warnock with more players in and around the box .

Pisses you off even more when you realise their first goal was offside… It looked like an end of training session goal where someone 'scoops' the ball over a defender and a bloke standing on his own near the goal just lobs it over the keeper, before running off for a shower?? Even if he is offside we should have made some sort of an effort to stop it? Slow motion goal?? Thought Sorba was level at worst for our dissallowed goal?? I might be wrong, much like the lino I wasnt right up with play but I paid for a seat and its not my f@cking job to be.😠

Just a shame that they seemed to get the rub of the green, their supporters will feel they deserved the win as much as we think they were very fortunate.

Well-timed run against a flat-footed defence. We have plenty to be angry about, but that isn't part of it.

Pisses you off even more when you realise their first goal was offside… No surprise. That fat, blonde c*** with the flag, on the KB side was worse than useless. He never flagged for anything for Town. Kasumu was grabbed and the bloke did a judo throw on him, 2 yards from the lino and he didn't give anything.

Could have been called offside for me, that’s without the benefit of much tighter frame freezes. I’m not angry about it, just pointing out that Boro wouldn’t have much to moan about had he been given offside. Ours was undebatable unfortunately. Just a shame we got nothing from such a good performance. Let’s hope they can build on that confidence on Mon, even if it results in another defeat.

This was the first game I have attended since Leeds away. I’d had enough to be perfectly honest after Leeds and Cardiff. Tonight though, felt refreshing. Them players involved gave their all - unlucky to not come away with something. The players haven’t failed us tonight Darren Moore didn’t fail us An absolutely fucking shocking summer transfer window did fail us. We just lacked that cutting edge. The Clown in the middle also failed us big time, i was right in line with when their player dived yet again and he gives it just another appalling decision in what is becoming an absolute joke regarding officials.

Just thinking back. Koroma had so many chances. On another day he could have had a hat-trick. Really good to see us creating opportunities
