There’s a lot of very very rich people who have been benefactors of us going up to the greedy league and some who have benefitted from us not progressing. Think a rotting corpse after the lion who was presented it (prem promotion) has finished with it. It can’t be revived so fuck it I’ll feast on the leftovers for a last pay check. Have we actually made any decent decisions since summer 2018? Appointing corberan aside. Was Corberan actually a decent decision though?

We have more time than last season to get things right. We can’t opt for the get-out-of-jail card this season. We’ve already sacked him. We can get a half reasonable one so that we don't need our get out of jail card We still have time for that.

With such a vastly expensive squad assembled, to realistically get owt out of this game, Leicester would have had to had an extremely off day and us be at the very top of our game with all the important players fit and firing on all cylinders. Leicester have such strength and depth to call upon, they are head and shoulders above 90% of the teams in the Championship. It must be a lovely feeling being one of their fans knowing you’re gonna piss the league at a canter and once more after a brief interlude, regain your position at the top table. I’m not going to lose much sleep after todays game. It was a bit of a free hit for me. As will the Man City game. Fingers crossed we have some lads return to fitness and we also have fresh, quality reinforcements to bolster our thread bare squad, by the time we next play our lot of critical games starting with Plymouth.

Guardian Championship roundup.
"Leicester extended their lead at the top of the Championship to 10 points after thrashing struggling Huddersfield 4-1"
"Leeds close the gap on Southampton to four points with a 3-0 win over Birmingham at Elland Road"
Can someone please explain to me how 4-1, a 3 goal margin, is a thrashing but 3-0, a 3 goal margin is just a win? Especially as Leeds had 21 shots with 11 on target to Leicester's 19 with 6 on target. Plus Birmingham managed 8 with 1 on target to Towns 12 with 4 on target. Which one looks like the bigger mauling? What absolute plonkers.

Was ok first half right up to the goal. Then we started taking 1 and 2 extra touches than we had been and getting caught on the ball more.Didn’t create anything really but as with other recent games we looked more comfortable when we had it.That went out of the window up to half time. The goal straight after kills off any ideas of getting back into it and meant with opening up too much we were chasing it. Headley going off and the reshuffle didn’t help and just emphasises the lack of depth.Ayina was caught under the ball for the second and completely switched off for the 3rd when lees and Helik had been sucked higher by a couple of Leicester players dropping deep. He’s inexperienced though. We’ve lost as expected and conceded 4 again, but for some reason this doesn’t feel like the Cardiff and Leeds when conceding 4. Important and winnable run of 4 after the cup game, let’s hope for a couple back and hopefully a couple in.

Wiles is pissing me off now, half hearted, half arsed, continually throwing his head back and waving his arms about after error, error and more error. That 4th goal led from him again He's shite. But worse he's a quitter. I'm convinced he's not fully fit and only playing cos we literally have nobody else.

Headley going off cost us today, we were holding them easily , Nichols shocking, Lees at Left CB waste of time, see the 3rd goal, Ayina ball watching 1st and 2nd, we created some good chances and on another day could have had 3, certainly no lack of effort and some nice passages of play, and for those who monitor these things, Moore came across with all the players to thank the fans.Certainly not a thrashing, imo.

Having been today , parked safely for FREE 20 mins walk away , we were a group of 4 amongst the 750 or so who went (source is the steward on the steps who said sit anywhere as you’ve only shifted 750) today and genuine mixed emotions really:
- by the way, I went eyes wide open expecting a defeat but forever hopeful as my role as a supporter is to support - in patches we coped very well and played confidently - their quality only needs moments, and we gave them them - Wiles was poor in both halves, gives it away too easily - Yuta impressed today - Thomas too keen to impress, simple passes would make him an excellent all rounder but oh no , has to run into players - Josh on another day would have a brace - Nicholls: near post set piece disaster - Jack our man of the match, he does not stop
So, got what I bought into BUT came away thinking we’ll be fine this season as we look more rounded, Helik tries to push out when he can, but a settled 5-3-2 today can cause other teams issues.
Interesting games just around the corner……. 🤨
UTT Ps… our fans were excellent today and especially at the end. Very proud of all of them 👏🏻

The scoreline is a reflection of the gap in quality between the respective squads. But they did OK in parts today. The last 3 games certainly give cause for hope, but we do need to have a transfer window that brings in some quality and some experience. I’m sure the usual brigade will be out in force in the next few days having a pop via the various open doors presented to them, but I think we’re still OK to climb out of the current position with more room to spare than last season. We have more time than last season to get things right. Or Wrong.

Was Corberan actually a decent decision though? You mean employing a coach who got us to within 90 minutes of the premier league with a rank average squad? Mmmm, let me think... Means absolutely nothing. We didn't get to the PL did we with him? He got a tune out of a squad. But it was boring. His 1st season, he was absolutely crap. With the players he had, even with injuries, is probably worse than how DM is doing with this current crop.

Didn't mean nothing to me. The football was drab at times, but I still enjoyed the ride. I am 50 this year and in my lifetime we have genuinely had a chance to reach the top division twice: once under Wagner and once under Corberan. These types of seasons only come around occasionally for a club like us - it might not happen again in my lifetime. I can't fathom how anyone can say coming third in the Championship and within 90 mins of the Premier League "means nothing."

Hahahaha give it a rest. .how the fuck can you blame Wiles for a goal direct from a free kick that the keeper decided to let in as he is still clearly pissed up from NYE Irrespective of whether he was to blame for the 4th goal everything else he says is pretty accurate.
