Will Matos be available to play in the FA Cup? After all, it'll only be one game... Yep, he says so on his YouTube interview

Last night I dreamed that we won this game 3-4, a remarkable comeback featuring a penalty to draw level.
As Town never get awarded penalties, and as the one in my dream was scored by Lewis O'Brien, it's safe to say my dreams are total shite.
Does anyone else dream about Town? Should I seek professional help?

After some thought and a shandy or two, I decided at about 10 past midnight on New Years Eve that Town should start with our strongest 11 and when 2 or 3 goals up bring the kids on for some game time.🥳

Seven officials will be on hand to make those important decisions that could decide if Town make round four or not (yeh right). Michael Sailsbury (Referee), Richard West & Derek Eaton (Assistant Referees), Leigh Doughty (Fourth Official)......Hold it theirs more, Peter Bankes (VAR), Matthew Wilkes (Assistant VAR) & finally but certainly not least we have FIFA World Cup Ref Anthony Taylor (Support VAR)....Phew, I need a coffee now. I did point this farce out a couple of days ago, early on in this thread. downatthemac.proboards.com/post/3270915/threadMichael Sailsbury is support VAR at tonight's game.....Calvert-Lewin gets a red card via VAR, basically 3 v 1 because ref on pitch (yard away) didn't deem it red.

Matos is doing the pre game press conference so you'd think that means he should be playing.
Good to play him and get him learning how his colleagues play but without the points at stake.

I’m debating whether the team that lost 10-1 was better than the one we’re likely to turn out on Sunday.
Cox, Brown, Bray, Banks, Webster, Walford, Barham, May, Shearer, Winter, Cork
I’d say it’s probably better! Doku, Haaland and De Bruyne possibly making comebacks. I’m genuinely concerned we could lose by more. 😬

Sitting right off and watching them keep the ball and stroll through the game might reduce their good opportunities but without a threat from us either to score or make proper challeges up the pitch then we would never know if they fancied it. In todays football insanity, a city team that does not win the league and at least get to the cup final is a failure. I personally dont think Pep cares if they beat us 1-0 or 6-0 as long as they have no injury issues or disciplinary issues. He has been far more result based recently than performance.

Thankfully this time we have a competent manager in ... oh hold on a minute

Then who the hell is supporting the support VAR officials, the poor bastards.🙄 Apparently Sailsbury made the decision to send off Calvert-Lewin with a super slow motion replay, all sides are saying it was wrong & real time time shows minimal contact which doesn't even warrent a yellow card let alone red......Will Sailsbury be stood down for City tie now?

Should I seek professional help? I dream about Town quite alot. Once scored a goal at the Riverside for Town in a dream. In another dream I Saw Town lose 4-2 in a UEFA Cup quarter final at the San Siro against AC Milan (it was the first leg) and therefore considered a decent result. Before the 2016/17 season I dreamt I was at Wembley watching Town in the playoff final. Woke up before the teams took to the pitch but remember waking up and thinking... Wow imagine Town getting to the championship playoff final and the chance of being 90 mins away from the Premier League. 9 months later it came true, although I was sat the other side of the stadium to where I was in the dream.

I’d imagine fairly easy decision to start him.means can have a proper look in a game situation and means someone who needs a rest gets it. I’d reckon same applies for Spencer

So just like big Phil H,most of them weren’t there either….

Fairly gutted for burgzorg.presser seems to suggest he’s out for a while.was winning me over after my initial perception.headley out too.suggested fielding strongest team.if had to guess is go Nicholls Spencer/Kasumu Reg Helik Lees Jackson/Spencer Hogg Matos Rudoni Sorba Koroma
Judging how glowing he was about iorpenda also wouldn’t be massively surprised to see him get on and if registered in time Radulović too.

In all the years I've supported Town I don't think I've ever cared less about an upcoming match than this one.
Everyone knows we will lose, probably heavily. It just depends by how many.
The number of goals we concede will be dictated by what sort of teams the managers select, but its such a foregone result that I just want to get it out of the way so we can concentrate on preparing for the crucial home game against Plymouth.
