Other than calling the result a thrashing this was pretty balanced from the BBC site:
“There were chants of "we want 10" from some home supporters, with older fans perhaps reminiscing about the 10-1 win City enjoyed against Huddersfield in 1987.
That never looked likely and, to the Terriers' credit, they fought hard and defended well at times against a City side capable of tearing apart almost any team at any level.”

Flashbacks to premier league away games today with the tourists. One woman going absolutely mental at a fella stood up in front of her even though he had 10 rows of folk stood in front of him. Another group storming out looking genuinely disappointed when the forth went in... What did they honestly expect. My favourite was the looks of disgust from the woman in front of us every time we started singing. Give me Blackburn away over today any day.

You obviously know nothing about football You obviously know little about football and obviously one of the easily pleased you get on here How times have changed at this club mainly for the worst
All afternoon you have made bizarre comments. Other have disputed your comments, but you have neither validated nor put up an argument in defence or your many critical posts. To make point that only you would understand, you are a fucking halfwit who knows fuck all about football. Now that's my criticism. Here's the defence of that criticism - Halfwit- you constantly ask for streams, but have neither the knowledge nor ability to remember what streams have been given, or, how to find one. I would say that this is an action of a halfwit. Knowing fuck all about football - you have made critical comments all afternoon, but not once have you validated your criticisms or defended them when challenged. IMHO this is an example of someone who is unable to back up what they write. So, there you are, that's an example of how to criticise. You make your point, in a patronising way, if necessary, or, as my often used method, agree to disagree with your detractors. If you need further guidance, and have the ability to follow a link (maybe this is why you can't find links to games?), here is a video which may be of some use. takelessons.com/blog/analyzing-argumentsNothing bizare about any of my comments as it makes me wonder if you easily pleased lot were watching the same game
A second division club would have put up a similar performance as we struggled to do the basics of a championship team when we had the ball This town team will be relegated as to many players in the squad who fall below championship quality and seems some of yoyu fail tro see it Another point is i dont reply to the many rude arrogant wankers you find on this forum

... anover point of better please barman... Hic! Its all that local cider. Its too strong for him. He used to get pissed on Websters Green Label at 3.2 per cent. That's unfair, no need for a pile-on. Surprising Kenny involved in this.
Everyone is entitled to their opinion, and at the end of the day we ALL want Town to be successful. If you don't like a poster here, ignore them or block them, no need to for sh!t posting about them.

In some respects I think we played well, or at least, we played to a system. The problem is that system is way too reserved. Today, moore should have just let our players off the leash and see what happens. But chaining them to parking the bus whilst it's inevitable we would lose, well, I guess the only benefit of that is seeing at a training session on how to try and defend against the best club in the world.
Regardless, there's eff all point in everyone having a go at you just because you disagree with the "concensus" view. It's a bit like a gang in the schoolground, childish and pointless for supposed grown-ups to engage in.

Bloody hell, some need to get a grip. Not one person can be blamed for anything today. Some of the comments are ridiculous.
We lost 5-0 to Manchester City. Their 2nd and 3rd goals were frustrating. 2md abysmal defending. 3rd - clear handball.
We then don't get the handball towards the end. We also had 6 regulars missing. Nakayama, Pearson, Kasumu, Hogg, Headley and Burgzorg. Could even put Ward and Ruffels into the list.
We gave absolutely everything. Sorba should have scored, was a sitter. I though Matos was fantastic, looks an ideal Hogg replacement. Spencer also had a very good game.
Jackson and Koroma were the disappointing ones for me, but taking the opposition into account, they both couldn't get the width to get involved.
Fans were amazing. Bring on Plymouth.

I was actually proud of our lads today. Playing against a team of absolute quality but they never gave up trying. You can't ask for more than that.

Not all our professional footballers run around as much as sorba though do they ? He runs himself into the ground every week. Yes but its what he does with the ball that counts The bloke with the most accurate crosses in the championship ?

Enjoyed the day out but that’s all it was. Wouldn’t want to do that every week. A reminder why no one was “mad for it” when we played Forest at Wembley when the reward was games like that.

Lots of hard work and good defending as expected, Matos and the new striker looked good. Fact is though you'd expect most league one teams to look better on the ball than we did, embarrassing when in possession. Any championship club should have been capable of having brief spells of possession. Just shows what a poor team we are with some decent individuals. The sooner we have a change of coach the better imo and it's absolutely nothing to do with losing 5 0 to man city, more the manner of if which is an exaggerated continuation of dross we've seen since he arrived. Tbf, we played 5 at the back, 4 in midfield that were sat on their toes and Sorba 30 yards upfield with no help or support.

Some folk clearly don’t understand football! Man City are a level above everyone else but some of you expect us to go toe to toe with them! Get real. They’re all over you like a rash when out of possession and then can pass it about at will! 5-0 is ok a bad as that is, but it’s reality! I understand perfectly that if you play to Man Citys strengths you may well concede 5 without reply. I dont think anyone has even intimated 'going toe to toe' with them. I dont believe anyone expected a positive result today but we are not going 'daft' to think a championship side should be able to pass it to each other, even when pressed, far, far better than we did, often not even attempting a pass before conceeding the ball. Said before and it stands, I hate watching the oppositions centre halves controlling the play just outside our box and becoming the 'extra' men who finally make an overload or the spare man for a simple pass into our box, its fucking embarrassing, Man City or Swansea etc. Sick of simply fullfilling a fixture.

To help you, I checked to see if Citeh had played a Division 2 team this season, for comparison, but was unable to find a game, which might help you. However, to counteract your opinion, have a look at the stats for Citeh’s first away game this season, in The PL, and see how they compare with today’s. Have a look. No, I’m not going to show you how to find out. Further evidence that you are a ducking halfwit, who knows fuck all about football.

Decent enough result against probably the best (albeit bought not built) team in the universe...
There will be a few Premier League quality teams that will get beaten by bigger margins that HTAFC did today by Manchester City on their home turf -
In any case our season TRULY starts NOW...
Out of The FA cup and footloose and fancy free to concentrate on the critical survival battle ahead -
And just six days until our critical home clash with Plymouth Argyle...
And the nice boost of two new players to aid the battle ahead ! 👍

Pretty much what we all expected today.. I would have preferred for us to put on an up and at um display. Not sure what goal difference we were trying to defend.
But to be fair if we had managed to keep them out, we did create two chances we should have probably scored from... so on a different day the score could have been more favourable... I just hate the stand off them, respect them bollox. Get stuck in and make it a battle.
Overall pretty typical of the tactics Darren chooses to use when we play teams with better quality... That's probably why he has only ever achieved to his budget.

My thoughts exactly. Its a really strange situation to be in. I want Town to win every game. I want us to do as well as we can every single game. I never want us to lose. I don’t want to play in a division where we would get spanked in 80% of away games and alot of home games Today was a stark reminder of how unbalanced that division is.

Not at all bothered about the result. Sorba and Spencer looked good, new lads seem to have a bit about them, decent effort from everyone involved and we kept a clean sheet for 30mins. Worst part was Edwards sprinting off the bench for Foden's shirt, he's been embarrassing on the pitch and now he is showing us up off it too, get rid. Are you sure? Waddling ?

They've done to us what they do and will continue to do to much better teams, tbh up to 33 minutes we did ok and i expect a lot of town fans were pleasantly surprised we held out so long, second goal was dead soft and third was unfortunate to say the least. Man city just pass you to death, to be honest i just wanted to hear the final whistle when it got to four, only criticism today was we often lost possession through our own carelessness, you cant do that against average opposition never mind a team as good as them.

I didnt expect much today but the point i was trying to make was simply that i thought we were capable of the doing the basics like being able to pass a ball
