Very brave punching that young lad in the face when he clearly had no intention of fighting anyone. Hope he's ok Embarrassing. Hope the lad is ok and the dickhead gets his comeuppance.

We’re terrible, we all know this. 5-0 seems acceptable. Let’s crack on. Few more incomings this month and hopefully move up the table. I think it’s doubtful we’ll be comfortable mid-table though. On Thomas, he’s putting more effort in, but he remains brainless. The offsides were ridiculous for a professional footballer, he wasn’t even close. To be fair, he isn’t a striker so will have little to no experience of breaking an offside trap. I thought he did very well considering he was being played out of position. Can’t blame DM for that though, we had no one else.

Didn’t see the game as I was driving down to Cardiff for work. Sounds like people were impressed by Matos and Spencer. The new striker showed glimpses (probably didn’t see much of the ball). Man City were always going to be too good.
Keeping it down to 5 seems like a result to me. KN says more signings to come. I for one feel more positive than I did after losing at home to Preston.

I see a thread about an FA Cup match against the current European champions has bee, as usual, hijacked by petty personal squabbles.😶. My take mirrors many on here... Battled well but just had no way to relieve the pressure. Big part of that is the current lack of a striker to hold the ball and being others into play. Some of it though was about us needing to be more composed on the ball. Interesting watching city from such a high vantage point. Pretty much nobody until Doku came on tried to actively beat a man. And the passes were all simple....the difference is having at least two options every Time they had the ball. We needed those options better. Spencer looked solid and improved....interesting to see whether that's him nailing that position down or a flash in the pan. Contrary to some....frankly baffling....opinions, Sorba was immense in his chasing and willingness. We just rarely got the free kicks etc to give a chance to load the box. Defensively I thought we did well despite the result. Three of the goals had some element of luck. Matos looked powerful and interesting to see him against more realistic opponents....think he will do well. And the City fans...wow. I know its a cup game against a team in a lower league but a quick cheer of each goal then back to sleep. I just saw an article saying the City fans went wild

Fighting at football is absolutely stupid, especially on a bus/tram full of cameras. The idiot that threw these punches will get a ban and probably jail time. Daft. However a few things to consider before jumping to too many conclusions - 1) there’s no evidence of a glass on this video 2) these lads dressed in ‘hooligan’ clothes won’t have been attacked out of nowhere, it is likely they instigated it 3) it looks like teenagers fighting teenagers rather than anyone older 4) and I’ve seen at least 5 fans from other teams saying this lad sits by the away end offering to fight the away fans outside This video from afterwards shows them showing off about it: Again, not saying any of it is right but there’s probably more than meets the eye here.

Not sure how long Burgzorg is out, but with Bojan and possibly Rhodes, we may not need him as a lone striker.

You want to read the post match comments on the Blue Moon message board. Slagging Town, tge commentator, our fans off. It like they actually think it makes you a superior human being because you support a club backed by Arab billions.

There is a lot of getting back from Sorba and others and then not actually defending in any pro active or positive way. We usually have more than enough shirts in our box as the ball hits the net. May have been more useful to a 'rearguard action' if Sorba had stayed on the halfway line, at least the two centre halves who became ball playing link men just outside our box would have had to hold back?? Its pro active defending of a kind.

Like I say, all of them are idiots, but let’s not assume it was an unprovoked attack.

Before I get slagged I posted that before seeing the post regarding fighting in the tram. There's plenty of stuff posted on here that looks bad out of context. DATM doesn't represent the opinions of all Town fans so Blue Moon probably doesn't represent the opinions of all City fans, likewise Owlstalk and Waccoe for Massive and Beeston. Fans on their own forums will always be a bit more cutting with their criticisms of others, as it's (within reason) a "safe space" for banter that you might have to censor a bit on places like Faceache, Tw@ter or the BBC HYS.

We know, you're on here begging someone to sort you a stream every matchday 🤷 Far from it these days but will watch a game if i have the time Cant see the point paying £10 when you can watch the game for free
iFollow revenue, from a Google search: "Nowadays, clubs keep 100 per cent of the net revenue from the UK match passes they sell, home or away, with a royalty going to the EFL for other digital subscriptions such as the sale of overseas match passes." If I watch a Town game I can't get to I use iFollow, I don't have Sky Sports. If the players are out there earning their wages then I think I should pay to watch them.

Seen Man City fans enough times in Huddersfield and at their spot.
Not condoning it, its totally out of order but 50 odd thousand there today and only those boys were picked on....
The lad and his mates might have been extremely unlucky and met some truely terrible people OR they may need to think about how they behave in the future.
Only time Ive ever been punched at football matches is when I've been silly, provoked a reaction and on reflection deserved it.

Anyway let’s wait for the Big Dazza drivel…..2 games and gone hopefully Fuck off you miserable bastard (not fussed if I get a ban for that), you were spouting enough bollocks during the game saying it's what happens when you set up with 5 at the back, dont' try to win etc, even though we never stood a chance, and had we tried to win, they'd have got double figures without much effort Wow…intelligent reply. Take it you are a Big Daz fan then? The issue is is he sets his team up every game this way. It fails we lose….rinse repeat. Today was a free hit …he didn’t try to remotely win that game. Same old shit …defend and hope our non existent striker scores. He has 2 games …lose both those and he will be gone,

Theoretically, if everyone told a contributor...let's say from the South West who always wants streams...to shut the fook up and that they are a tit, would everyone get banned? I’m up for giving it a try

If we were playing Cheltenham or Stoke or Fleetwood and setup like that then you might have a point, but against Man City, doing anything other than what he did would have led to a far more embarassing scoreline.

But, that aside, I’ve always thought their fans are a very strange bunch. Especially the younger generation of them.

If you have or pose zero threat to city, they simply push up all ten outfield players, pen you in and given they have as many players in and around your box as you do, they will find ways to have many attempts on goal, given their far superior abilities man for man. You can live on hope for periods of a game, you can run, cover, tackle, stay switched on for periods in a game but not most of it. They may miss a few, they will of course not miss as many as other teams we have 'surrended' the pitch to. The deflections ran for them yesterday but the law of averages tells you that is more likely to happen than not. Leaving Sorba up the pitch might have negated their two centre halves or at least a wing back sitting outside our box and simply recycling the ball for another go. You HAVE to do something other than sit there and wait, ok it might be very sporadic but simply put we needed to keep the ball as far from our goal as possible for as long as possible. This isnt going toe to toe with city its not close to gung ho attacking its simply passing and moving probably mostly in our half to break up attacks and release growing pressure on us. We failed miserably.
