Got a horrible feeling the Abu Dhabi All-stars are going to beat the record 10-1 defeat we suffered against Man City in 1987.

I knowing I’m quoting missen here but.. That has to be a record price for town to win a game?? 60/1.. No it's not. I managed to lose a tenner at 70/1 when we lost at Chelsea. 🙄 😁😁 Ok fair enough.. Well done.. 😂😂

Manchester City's Rodri and Erling Haaland are doubts for the club's FA Cup third round tie against Huddersfield Town.
Spain midfielder Rodri could miss Sunday's game following the death of his grandmother.
"Today and tomorrow he will not be here," said Guardiola, whose side won the FA Cup last season.
"Hopefully he will come back for the game but, if he needs to stay, family issues are the most important thing."
Haaland has not played since 6 December because of a foot injury.
Midfielder Kevin de Bruyne and winger Jeremy Doku are back in training after injuries, but Guardiola is unsure if they will figure this weekend or in the club's next Premier League game against Newcastle United on Saturday 13 January.
"Jeremy feels really good and Kevin as well. Kevin was out for a long time so we have to be patient," said the City boss.
"Erling is also a little bit better. It is the bone so that why I have to be a little bit more careful.
"They feel good and are improving. I don't know about Sunday or Newcastle but for the rest they will be ready."
De Bruyne has not featured for City since tearing his hamstring during their Premier League season opener against Burnley on 11 August.
The Belgium international was an unused substitute for a league win over Sheffield United in his side's last game.
Guardiola added that four players in Bernardo Silva, Kalvin Phillips, Matheus Nunes and Scott Carson were struggling with illness.
We fear Huddersfield, a famous mighty club, but with fight like a Terrier...I am telling my players to be carefull because we can lose this...easily, if we are complacent. We saw them take 0-0 here, when we were champions... then 1-1 at Chelsea straight after...One day I would love to be coach there, I have a soft spot..but not on Sunday..
I added the last 3 lines... obv..

It's a free hit for us, this one. Could easily be a cricket score but stranger things have happened. My bold prediction is that it'll be closer than many anticipate, and Citeh will need a little help from the VAR team to get their noses in front. A late rally from them against a tiring Town defence will give the scoreline a more flattering look. 1-4.

In all the years I've supported Town I don't think I've ever cared less about an upcoming match than this one. Everyone knows we will lose, probably heavily. It just depends by how many. The number of goals we concede will be dictated by what sort of teams the managers select, but its such a foregone result that I just want to get it out of the way so we can concentrate on preparing for the crucial home game against Plymouth. Wow.. Your team is playing possibly the best team ever assembled.. The champions of England.. Europe.. And the world.. But your not bothered 🤷🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️ Embrace it bro.. It’s a shop window.. We will get bummed.. But Huddersfield town will rise again.. 🍻🍻

I'd be wanting a refund on the licence fee, if I'd paid it.

Granted, they hadn't just done the Treble, but they still had a brilliant team and were champions of England. I guess that's why it's not such a big thing for me. I suppose it's not everyday Town play the current champions of Europe, but I'd rather just get the bumming out of the way and concentrate on preparing for the next league game.

Didn't realise until I checked that it's being streamed on BBC iplayer. If I'm in and nothing better to do I'll give it a go but if we are 3 or 4 down in half an hour it will get switched off.

Its just pathetic isn't it? BBC Look Leeds, sorry Look North, couldn't be arsed to mention us either tonight when they went through the FA Cup games. We were listed, but no mentioned and it was Oggy doing the report! They did mention Leeds, hoping that they wouldn't become subject to a 'giant' killing. But failed to mention Town, playing away at the World, European and Premier League Champions in front of a sell-out 53K crowd. They really fucking hate us, don't they!

I’m debating whether the team that lost 10-1 was better than the one we’re likely to turn out on Sunday. Cox, Brown, Bray, Banks, Webster, Walford, Barham, May, Shearer, Winter, Cork I’d say it’s probably better! Doku, Haaland and De Bruyne possibly making comebacks. I’m genuinely concerned we could lose by more. 😬 Simply have to see how much the city team, whoever plays, wants it. Sitting right off and watching them keep the ball and stroll through the game might reduce their good opportunities but without a threat from us either to score or make proper challeges up the pitch then we would never know if they fancied it. In todays football insanity, a city team that does not win the league and at least get to the cup final is a failure. I personally dont think Pep cares if they beat us 1-0 or 6-0 as long as they have no injury issues or disciplinary issues. He has been far more result based recently than performance. That's the problem isn't it? Pep: Senor Moore, you let us win and we make you look good and go easy on you. You let a wee Ned score and cup his hand to our faithful followers (free tix given out) and we bury you

Working in Manchester and as a Town fan I really hope that Sunday is the start of the season they win nowt more than the Subbuteo tournament they just won. Four in a row for City cheapens our history

Let's face it for all the neutrals the tie of the round is Arsenal v Liverpool on Sunday and everything else is a bit of a side show, even City.

If we can keep them to no more than 5, that'll be decent.
If City want to really go for it they could easily get 7 or 8 though.

I remember when England played the All Blacks at Twickenham about 10 years ago, and England put 30 points past them because the All Black players got Norovirus just before the game... we need similar to happen tomorrow.

Really depends on the team they put out, if its a full 3rd side which it could easlily be then it could be a lot closer than 5, just going to enjoy the day anything positve from the game is a bonus. no new injuries, a couple of debuts, anything else is a bonus.

Ok let’s lay out the order of service for tomorrow..
Please let’s not sing the really annoying songs that all the away fans sing..
“Is this a library “
“Your support is fooookin shit”
Cmon we are better than that..
Let’s be more inventive..
“Your only ere to watch the terriers “
Or ..
“Where were you when you we’re shit”..
It’s important we make a good impression whilst getting bummed..
🍻🍻
