Nothing official, so, Happy to Wait and See. Cannot understand the need to speculate. “Happy to wait and see” - comes across as such a passive aggressive way of shutting people down. You might be happy to “wait and see” but what’s so wrong with discussing a linked transfer name on the football forum for a team that hardly ever sign players or have anything remotely exciting going on!? The poster clicked on the sub-board titled 'Transfer rumours' to post that comment aswell 😂

I’ve already written the first 2 lines of his song (obligatory on here it would seem). Someone will have to work out the soundtrack…. Alex Matos… Eats potatoes… Good luck with fleshing this one out… 😉 surely it should be Alex Matos eats Fray bentos.

Will he be thrown in on Sunday?
I don’t think the team will be vastly different from the one we’ve seen these last 3 games, seems like it’ll pick itself from who isn’t injured?

Apologies if this has already been posted, but here's what the Not the Top 20 fellas have to say about the signing:
"A big show of faith from Chelsea, with 19-year-old Matos’ first loan in senior football seeing him dropped straight into the Championship. Fans believe he has earned it having redeveloped as a central midfielder after previously playing as a wide forward at youth level with Norwich. He is tenacious, hard-working and very bright in transition, all elements that suit Huddersfield down to the ground. Darren Moore had a great record with young loanees at Doncaster, and his role as a coach and motivator makes Huddersfield a brilliant place for Matos to develop. He certainly has the character and raw materials to succeed, and could be a difference maker for Town.
RATING: LOVE IT"

Very good interview. Looks like he can hold the ball and use his body well in the reels. ... just as long as he gives 100%. To be fair, it always gets me annoyed when people say 110%, so IMO, it could have been worse!

Hopefully he can dramastically improve our midfield. Saw the presser today and he’s a confident lad. Think we’ll be getting a bit of fun for a short while with this one!

This is all done, just waiting for an announcement and media work to be completed. Could be announced tonight, but actually thinking it might be that it is saved until tomorrow so Kevin can be seen in some part of the announcement. Might even be a double signing tomorrow, oh and one out / leaving the club (nobody anyone will be concerened about). Basically you know the square root of **** all! Quite the opposite, he / she have correctly claimed two signings this week.

Will this lad follow the footsteps of some of our former loan players to go on to represent England in recent years? Chilwell, Smith-Rowe and Colwill we all knew pretty much instantly that they'd go on to represent their country, hope Matos gives us the same vibe.

Welcome to The Famous Huddersfield Town Alex ! Hopefully at the end of your loan we will all be saying Alex ‘Matos’ Better !!! 😉 Having now listened to his interview and now ascertained how his name is described - I have to hold ma hands up and admit that I made a C U N(ext) T(uesday) of this pun ! 😬 If he was pronounced Mate-s then it’d have worked better but with it being Matt-s then no chance... It’s egg 🍳 all over the double chin with this one for ya Westie ! 😉

Looked like he will be very useful
The only one of our players who looked able to match them physically (strength and pace wise)
Looks like his fitness might need some work as he was blowing after that run and dive but that should come pretty quickly once he's started a few games

Looks a player, definitely someone we need - tenacious is probably a good word. He was everywhere. I was slightly concerned when he looked knackered after about half an hour, but I’m sure fitness will come with more senior games.

I thought he looked good. Loads of energy, got stuck in. Like a young Hoggy! It'll be a nice change to not hugely miss Hogg if hes not in the team.

This lad looks top class, in the championship I expect him to glide past players a little like LOB did for us, he can bring a forward drive to the midfield that gets us further up the pitch and quicker, perfect player with Hogg and Rudoni in with him.
I expect a couple of Reds before the end of the season also!!

Looks a very good prospect
Also looks like the loan will do him the world of good as there's some polish required - game time will take his match fitness to the next level and he'll also learn when not to lunge into tackles (especially the rash ones when your blood is up and there's a crowd watching). Championship is the right standard as well as there's some great midfielders at this level
We get a very promising prospect on loan and the loan should see him return to Chelsea a better player
Win win around

I'm reluctant to read too much into the game yesterday, but....
Who am I kidding? I'm trying to temper my excitement about this lad. Cautious optimism should be where I'm at, but he looks to me like he could be really special.
The next few games should tell us more, but I think he's going to do very, very well for us.

At the game it didn’t look a booking to me, did it look a booking to those watching on iPlayer? He certainly looks a top prospect based on yesterday. Him, Kasumu and Rudoni could be a dynamic midfield 3.
