Rhodes can play on either side of defence? TBF, We've had Koroma at fullback so who knows? Do you remember when Lewis O Brien played left back for a stint! Very badly

Ok, perhaps I should have filled that statement out a bit more. In my defence I was rushing. TBF I'm a massive pedant and if there is ever a way to passive aggressively deliberately misinterpret something I'm going to find it. This may not be our last exchange then

Given the bench at Leicester I believe we need this guy back. In the games he played from what I remember he did ok. Not only do we need new players in but we also need a bench with experience, whether that’s Scotland or anywhere else.

Played well today, good positioning and discipline, and pretty good in the 1v1 situations. Looks like the loan has done him good and I'm looking forward to seeing if he can maintain this good start, he'll be a great asset to us in the future hopefully.

He looked lightweight before he went to Motherwell. Looks much better now after his loan. Has he grown? He's taller than I remember.

Whenever he played for us previously he was always aggressive and fairly ok defensively. My issue with him was that he just didn't look like a championship footballer in possession and he struggled with that side again today. He wasn't alone in that though so I'll wait for a game against championship opposition to really see if he's progressed at all

Looked aggressive and sharp. If he can play like that against City then I’m looking forward to seeing play against Championship teams.

Got an assist on his Northern Ireland debut but got skinned a few times and that summed him up. Looked the part today, tenacious and closed the spaces. Passing wasn't great but something he can work on. Shame he didn’t ‘play the game’ when he got that forearm smash to the face - the other way round their lad would’ve still been rolling. Earned the shirt for next week, keep it up lad.

We seem to have a habit of writing off our academy lads before they even get going.
The loan to Motherwell was one of the few good pieces of business we did in the summer, very beneficial to the lad.
He's come back looking hungry and looking like a player that has moved on a few steps in his development.
He's not even 20 yet either.
Keep going, Brodie.

Considering he was up against a player who cost £100m (100! million!) in Grealish, I thought he did really well.

He will be a lot more hardened after his experience in Scottish Football for sure... Plenty thuggery happens without punishment up here on an industrial scale - Is it wrong - Absolutely... Does it teach players like Brodie a little bit of life in the school of ‘hard knocks’ and gear him up for the unforgiving environment of The Championship - Probably... Maybe HTAFC should consider sending more “Brodies” up here to more “Motherwells” if it helps their development and has the same desired success that the move for Brodie appears to have done !

Touché. Embarrassing the weight he’s carrying for a championship footballer. Quickest he’s moved all season was him going to see Foden at the end.

I thought he did well, especially considering he only had a couple of days to prepare.

Reminded me of when Jack Hunt “burst on the scene” against Arsenal. Played well and should be in the first team squad the rest of the season.

Including his 5 international games today was his 30th senior appearance. He's going to make some mistakes but he's not 20 until the end of the season. His games against Celtic (twice) Rangers and Man city this season will help his development.

Love how much energy the fat git had to throw his arms around foden. Fucking embarrassing. Your team has just been mauled 5-0 and you’re faunicating over a bloke who has smashed two past your team. Modern football in a nutshell.

I’m personally not 100% sold on him yet - he was nowhere near the level needed last year and can’t quite see that he was “very good” today (good effort shown but wasteful with the ball - not on his own of course). But what he does have is youth, fair amount of pace and quality in the ball and a great attitude which is clear to see. I hope we see a different and improved player in the championship and I look forward to seeing him hopefully become a key player for us.

I've seen nothing from him to suggest he is anywhere near ready for this level. I'm not sure starting a highlights reel with shielding a ball out for a goal kick is a good idea, doesn't exactly fill you with hope for what's to come in the rest of the clip I take back my comments on Spencer. The loan has definitely had the desired impact and he now looks a very good prospect. I'd say he was our best player today until a few mistakes when he tired late on. Hopefully this is the standard he performs at week in week out
