Even if it was a loan we'd be paying him atleased £25k a week. Can't see it being a realistic rumour. Why? I’d suspect Newcastle would be willing to either pay all his wages or give him a hugh pay off leaving him to try earn impress someone to take a punt on him next season. |

Unless I have very much underestimated the new regime, absolutely no chance unfortunately! Would be an amazing signing but I suspect Newcastle still want him, his wages will be sky high and he can do a lot better than a side fourth bottom in the champ.

That said, I still don't think there's anything in this rumour personally. The only reason it could happen is he is out of contract this summer, so if he wants to play football to get himself in the window, and keep match fit, a loan would be a good solution. Newcastle will have him on their books whether he is in Newcastle or elsewhere so a contribution to his wage might work for all parties. Probably won't happen but it is not impossible. |
