I'd like to see us play 4 at the back in this one, particularly with our defensive absentees.
Nicholls
Jackson Helik Lees Spencer
Kasumu Matos
Koroma Rudoni Thomas
Radulovic
We're playing a team that haven't won on the road all season. Front foot, positive football.

That’s starting to look like a bit of a team now thanks to our new signings. I’m hoping we aren’t done on the recruitment front just yet though, our depth is still lacking, we need options tactically rather than just a strong first team, and get them in early so that they can understand how to play ‘versus blackburn’ football. Gotta be a Win against Plymouth for me. UTT

Koroma Rudoni Matos Kasumu Radulović Thomas I think if Moore was planning to play Ayina against Plymouth then surely some game time today would have been a good idea? We have the players available that suit a 4231 formation. Is Moore brave enough to go for it?

My team above was what I think Moore will do, though I just couldn’t bring myself to put REG in even though it probably will be with the same players available.

Shoehorning player to fit a defensive system rather than playing a system that suits the players available just smacks of a manager that doesn't have the balls to change it. This is Plymouth, not Leicester or Man city.

Must win game.
Two poor teams.
Just getting it in early.

I wouldn't say this is quite "must win" but it's not far from it.
The shoots of improvement seen against Blackburn and Boro need to continue.
This is the start of the knuckle end of the season. We need to see better overall and DM needs to show he is the coach that was appointed.

We need to set up to take the game head on, no more pussying arround and sitting back.

Questions need to be asked of Moore if we don’t beat a team who’s not won away all year and have lost some of there better players to championship rivals this past week
If we sit back against Plymouth I’ll do my nut

For some reason I think we will lose. 2 - 1 Plymouth.
Reason, played 28 games in cup and league and only won 5.

Just hope these two hammerings against Leicester and Man city haven't got Darren going back to his ways after a couple of promising performances against Blackburn and Middlesbrough prior.

Middlesbrough signed Fin Azaz who had been on loan at Plymouth (from Villa) the other day. Now John Percy of the Telegraph is reporting Stoke are poised to sign Luke Cundle from Wolves who had also been on loan at Argyle.

We've got Matos with energy in midfield which will free Rudoni up to get up and support the striker aswell.

Got some good vibes about this one and I reckon we’ll pick up all 3 points and play well. Not been on the sherry this evening either. The next 4 are crucial for the team and the manager’s future at the club and we have to start turning in some displays and winning some games. With a few new additions to the squad, there really are no more excuses.

We now have the players to beat them. If we don't then Moore has no hiding place. I still think his game management is really poor and is a 3rd rate manager.

Nicholls
Jackson REG Helik Lees Spencer
Koroma Matos Rudoni Thomas
Radulovic
But with instruction for all 4 midfielders to support the attack and the fullbacks to become wing backs when we are attacking.
* DM seems wedded to a back 5. * Both fullbacks are still trying to establish themselves, they will benefit from more support in the middle. * Given the formation that Plymouth Argyle tend to play I'd want 3x CBs anyway. * Jackson deserves to keep his place. * In the absence of Ruffels, Yuta, Hogg, Kasumu and Turton, I can't see a stronger line up available.

If Hogg's fit and Moore insists on a back 5 then maybe he can slot in at CB - could be an option for the rest of the season too (keeps him out of midfield ). Probably go Jackson over Koroma as Koroma ain't no wing back.

Nicholls Lees Helik NCB Sorba Jackson Hogg Matos Rudoni
Bojan Koroma
Spencer was excellent but I would play Sorba RWB this weekend we are home and need to be on the front foot and get an extra attacker on the pitch, if no new CB I would play Lees left of the 3 and Spencer Right of the 3, can move to a back for when Sorba gets forward. if Kasumu is fit then play him RWB and but Sorba where Koroma is.

Plymouth have not won away all season & now under a new 'rookie' manager Ian Foster, should be a walk in the park for DM & his team then, try telling that to the bookies who see this as a 50/50 game & almost identical odds on offer for both to win......Unless Argyle are as poor as Blackburn were a safe punt would be on a draw & almost certainly buying the manager another week before our return trip to Ewood Park...1-1

If we were to lose this I genuinely don't see how Moore could survive. A team we should be better than and havent won a single away game all season. New signings in the side aswell. It would be very poor.
