What’s the point? Really?
I’m not really a conspiracy theorist, but do agree with the “big club bias”. The number of times today things would have been flagged if they were against Man City is astonishing.
Second high profile game (albeit today we never really expected anything, compared to the playoff final) that things have so obviously gone against us to favour the “bigger” team or potential agenda.
I also dislike that in rounds of the cup, it’s “used” (I use that term loosely) in certain games while not in others, like the Tyne / Wear derby.

The referee in general was shite.
How Matos got a yellow I still don't understand. It was merely a foul, if that. Matos then gets a worse challenge after his run down the left, ref doesn't even give a foul. Sorba was thrown about numerous times, I know he doesn't help himself sometimes, but 1 or 2 were clear fouls, yet again, not given.
Their 3rd goal, unless the handball rules have changed, clearly is controlled using the upper arm. The big screens even showed it.
Our penalty appeal, once again, clear handball.
In all honesty, I find it embarrassing that Manchester City still get the bias decision when playing teams like us, in which they would have won anyway.
I also found their fans embarrassing. Genuinely is the worst atmosphere from home fans I have seen. How can you come into a season off the back of a treble and be silent? Shows that commercial is winning.
Most their today were supporters of KDB than they were Man City.

Sorba was not thrown around at any stage today, he was simply throwing himself about

They reviewed the hand ball incident - the one that could have been a penalty for us, not the 3rd goal. The commentators mentioned that it was one of the quickest VAR decisions ever made

Yes reviewed Bobb falling down for a potential penalty.Couldnt believe there was no mention of the handball for their 3rd goal.I thought it would be reviewed at least.

I may be wrong (happy to be corrected) but in terms of the 3rd goal, isn't it a case that VAR can only get involved in hadball if it directly leads to a goal (eg player brings ball down with the hand, he shoots and he scores, which isn't what happened). If there's a pass in between they can't look at it I think.
Happy to be corrected, but it just rings a bell for some reason

Agreed the ref is one of the worse I can remember in a while which is saying a lot and whilst Man City are champions of the world (which most people don't give a shit about) their fans must be library competition champions

If Town were stuffing Worksop, or whoever from a lower level, in the cup there would be about 5000 there and the atmosphere would be shite. Those City fans must be bored shitless strolling to victory every week.
