What a great trip down memory lane although quite sad at the end to see diggers on the pitch and the ground in bits. Got me thinking (and I think this may have been done before) but who has what from the old Leeds Road ground? Maybe in bits tucked away at the back of the garage waiting for it to be lovingly refurbished or is in pride of place in the house.

This is the only game it can be dxterrier: Tuesday 4 November 1980 Town 2 Oxford 0 (Kindon, Robins) Attendance 7,543 I don't remember a thing about it. We quite often beat Oxford 2-0 at home, including the MoTD game with Motty in the snow. Could be right if it was as game played in Division 3, but wouldn't have been in Division 4, then.

I enjoyed watching this the other night. They've used the 35mm photograph I took at the "End of an Era" game v. Blackpool in 1994 (37m 08). It was just before the final whistle and pitch invasion. I fluked snapping the lad stood up with his arms outstretched. Does anybody recognize him? View Attachment It could be Russ (Jimmymac),,,there's another photo I think of him stood like that, infact he's always stood like that,I don't think his arms fold back down.lovely chap though

I know shaws timber in Slaithwaite has a turnstile outside their premises...all the original stone brickwork and paint It's a few years since I visited but I imagine it's still there

One of my best ever memories was the day my Dad took a 9 year old me and my older brother to look at the construction of the new Town ground. On the way up we walked by the gate near the away end of Leeds Road and it was wide open, so in we went. I'm guessing we had permission to go in but I've got some great photos of me, my brother and my dad playing on the pitch, sat in the dugout and scoring goals in front of the Cowshed. Made more special by the fact that my brother sadly isn't with us anymore, but who knows, maybe the last person to score a goal at Leeds Road wasn't Phil Starbuck, might have been me or my bro on that day
