Following Reading’s relegation this is now my nearest fixture. I’ve enjoyed a number of trips to Loftus Road under its various names particularly last season’s come from behind win curtesy of Ruffels’s fantastic second goal.
I see from the recent ticket announcement on the website that the away end now has railed seating. Can’t say this surprises me as there was previously insufficient room for a normal size person to sit anyway. Question – has anyone experienced railed seating yet and what is it like?
Moan 1 – how can QPR justify £37 for standing? I know there are £31 tickets but my previous experience of the cheaper seats was very restricted views.
Moan 2 (which is probably just a petty personal gripe) – why can’t the tickets be made available sooner? I’ll be travelling to the Plymouth game on Saturday, the last home match before the fixture, and would love to be able to purchase my QPR ticket then. As a season ticket holder who isn’t a B&W member though I won’t be able to purchase until Monday.
I will therefore be reliant on the post which in my village is extremely erratic with many instances of letters taking weeks to arrive – on several occasions I’ve had to contact the ticket office to make subsequent arrangements to collect at the ground (which can be a hassle). Do we really have that many B&W members compared to standard season ticket holders?

I always buy the cheapest ticket at Loftus road. Can normally sit/stand where you want anyway.

Everyone will stand up away anyway.
Rail seating is in place in various away stands and it just creates a bit more space to stand up.

Only done rail seating at Cardiff and it was excellent.
Far better than sitting down and far better than standing where there seats behind you and nowt in front.

37 quid is a bit much. I'm pushing 60 this year and recovering from heart surgery so not working. Might try my luck with the 61+ ticket. Is there a plan of where the silver tickets are. Been to Loftus Road a few times and I know there are some really restricted views from some of the seats.

We went in August 2019 and we were on the front row but in one of the end blocks (think we were nearest the exit as it turned out). I'm sure ours were silver seats as well. They weren't restricted view as I believe those in the middle don't allow you to see the goal line unless you stand up. £37 is ridiculous.

It’s just to Train everyone up if this is the future Track going forward... Just as long as the game is not a bore fest Sleeper and Town come away with the Points which will surely Signal that we are Steaming ahead in the right direction - Cheers Fae - The Flying Scotsman... 🏴 (Clachnacuddin FC fan and not Inverurie Locomotive Works) ! 😬

£37 for standing at Loftus Road?
If there's one place I'd expect to find a Chair...

Reyt rip off.
Been a few times and it’s a good away day is QPR, but a shite view from much of the away end and has to be the most cramped concourse I’ve ever been on. Sky moving it to Sunday will probably alleviate some of that though

£37 for standing at Lotus Road? If there's one place I'd expect to find a Chair... Paying that much to stand up could've gone in with Westie's train puns...

So this is what happened to me last season at QPR when I turned up without a ticket. It was a mid-week evening kick-off, with no away supporters tickets being sold on the day. It was all very last minute but I decided to take a chance and go to the game anyway, with the aim being to try and get a seat in the away end, or as a last resort get one in the home end, which were being sold on the day. I went to this little ticket office in South Africa Road, and asked what was the cheapest ticket they had. It was in the home paddock I think, which I didn’t really fancy. I said I didn’t really want to spend much as I was actually a Huddersfield supporter but they weren’t selling away tickets on the day, but the guy said he’d sell me a ticket in the away end and there were loads available!
I said OK, what’s the cheapest? He said the cheapest was an OAP ticket, I can’t remember how much it was but it was certainly a bit cheaper than the normal ones. Now I may not be 18 anymore, but I certainly wouldn’t pass for an OAP but I thought I’ve chanced it this far, why not keep going. So after buying the OAP ticket, I walked round to the away end and half expected someone to pull me up for not looking geriatric enough, but it was all electronic, no one was checking at the gate so I not only got a ticket in the away end when they weren’t meant to be selling any, but I got a cheaper OAP one too! The match itself was amazing, going 1-0 down after just a few minutes, then coming back to win with that amazing goal. Probably one of the best match experiences I’ve had all round.

Turning up without a ticket, impersonating a OAP. Disgraceful. I feel inclined to phone the police so you may get a knock on your door soon. You seem to be going down the slippery road to crime. You will be parking in a car park next and nipping into the local coop for 5 mins without paying your 50p 🙃
