What amazes me is he can't remember what he did 6 years ago, not just once but hundreds of times. Or do we take that with a pinch of salt?

Sounds like there's a strange type of bug going around that affects the memory. Those people who work for the Post Office/Fujitsu have got it and now Harry Toffolo?

It seems really odd that Toffolo has been effectively let off with a fine ( less than a weeks wage ) whereas others who seem to have done the same thing, to a lesser degree if anything, have had lengthy bans. Toney and that Italian at Newcastle spring to mind. Maybe theres reasons for that which arent obvious but he seems to have been extremely lucky.

not sure why he'd mention his time here - not really relevant to the story well he discovered he wasn't supposed to be betting in 2018, and joined Town in 2019...until 2022. Did he not think then, at all, he would be rumbled ? He states he was informed of the investigation in April 2023...but the time between the offences and the charges (while he was at Town) ..
".The "considerable time" between the breaches and his charges, Toffolo's show of "genuine remorse", openness about his betting, details of his mental health battles at the time of the bets and offer to help the FA educate players about gambling were all factors taken into consideration by the commission."
So was that 'remorse' only when he moved to Forest in July 2022 to April 2023 (when the charges were made) that he was showing 'genuine remorse'..and doing all those things that were taken into consideration by the commission..or from April 2023 (charges made) to September 2023 (when the verdict was given) ? Or was it from when he was at Lincoln in 2018 up to April 2023...which included 3 years at Town?
It doesn't make sense...when exactly was he showing 'genuine remorse'...?

Hope he is now in a better place and recognises the errors. These are mentally young kids at the end of the day.

From the moment he was rumbled 🤔 so that would be from April 2023 -- I wonder what took them (the EFL) so long and how did they find out about it so many years later ? Did somebody rat on him.....
