What a depressingly difficult situation. Keep Moore and sign the players for me, providing we sack the set piece coach tonight.

I'm no fan of Moore, I think he exacerbates the poor situation we are in but our squad is bad.
We're not able to repeat the Warnock trick this season so the only thing we can do is bring in more players. Due to financial reasons mainly we can't sack Moore and bring in the required number of players.
The highers management of this club have got themselves in this mess and hopefully in the summer we stay in the Championship and the Moore error can be corrected. However in January our only option is to bring in players to bail us out.

We have one recognised striker in the books, he's started 4 games since Moore arrived. What manager would win games with that, other than Pep with his Man City squad? Nothing changes until we have players, the man in the dugout doesn't make a difference right now whoever it is. The last one did Ward played the majority of games under Warnock's tenure, and even then we had Rhodes to call upon for the majority. So no, he didn't.

Daft poll would be a better title for this thread.

I think Nagle is in a tough situation because as much as he might want rid of Moore he'll know the budget impact of doing so will likely prevent any new signings from happening. What's our better chance of staying up? This current squad with a new manager or a stronger squad managed by Moore? As much as I don't like him I honestly believe it is the latter. I don't think many would pull up trees with this squad and it's crucial to get some more bodies through the door. A very tough call for big Kev I’d be surprised if sacking a manager came from the season budget, I’d expect it could be justified as an additional cost. Ideally sack him and sign a few more players which we badly need looking at the state of our squad and bench. I would have brought Rhodes back too until we had better options available.

No way KN has come over from California in the middle of winter and won’t sack Moore. To be fair, Moore’s been dealt a shit hand but he isn’t the answer. If we don’t get 5 or 6 points in the next three game (which is probably unlikely), he’ll be gone.

Hopefully KNs advisors have pointed out both the seriousness of relegation financially and how long it took us to get back to second tier from third last time and were not the only club not to bounce straight back in the same situation. I'm all for giving folk a chance. Players, managers, owners. The last couple of times I thought very early on 'nope, not going to work out' were Siewert and Schofield. Not really been involved enough since DM took over as I've moved away but the feedback seems eerily like those I've mentioned. I'm not an advocate of swapping coaches too often, rarely works unless you are Watford but there comes a time when the writing on the wall becomes impossible to ignore.

Moore at least is way out in front of any other previous managers record.....
Manager with the most polls☺. He will soon have more polls than the matchday threads!!

I suspect Kev's advisors are busy justifying all the shit decisions they've made to date. The biggest one being hiring a shit management team on a three year deal. Hence this unfounded notion that Darren is going to turn into a quality championship coach once the injury situation improves and we sign more players. Is Cartwright going to admit his very expensive mistake? Is he bollocks, he's going to dig his heels in and blame injuries. It's human nature. I assume that's also why they haven't taken the obvious step of recalling Rhodes. They've just compounded mistake after mistake since they walked through the door in the summer.

I will never understand how someone could sit and listen to Moore talk in an interview and have full confidence that he is the man for the job. I'm not saying that a manager needs to be a genius but Moore just doesn't inspire any confidence that he knows what's he's doing as he can't string a sentence together. I'm pretty sure the players must think the same. He might be a nice guy, so was Nick Wadsworth, but it doesn't mean they should be Huddersfield Town manager.

Bizarre isn't it, it's one of the reasons I've never rated him as a manager alongside the fact he'd always had a superior squad at his disposal whilst achieving the bare minimum. I just don't get the idea he has a good track record unless people literally just look at win percentage with zero context. I didn't expect him to get a championship job before he arrived here and thought he'd made a big mistake pricing himself out of a job at Wednesday for that reason.

Would I be the only one with the opinion that it would be stupid to sack Moore in this run in when we need consistency over change at a time when we need to get results in 6 pointers

KN is a very successful man, who looks to delegate to people he trusts. He won't panic about situations so, for now, he's going to stick with the plan. However, as nice as he comes across, you don't get to be that successful without being ruthless (I've watched Succession ). I have no doubt that plans to replace DM will be well under way & that, if we don't get 6+ points out of our next 3 games he will be gone. He wants to give him a chance when he has provided him with better players, but he is also realistic to know that we don't have an awful long time to turn things round. One thing for sure, he won't be afraid to make big decisions & DM might not be the only one at risk, coming over here for the month is the start of this.

Not much of a dilemma. We need both. If we don’t we’ll end up in League 1. If we give better players to Moore he’ll just drag them down to the level of recent performances. Playing 3-5-2 with the players available to him is a borderline sackable offence on its own.
