Said it before and I'll say it again, all these Town fans wanting us to lose to get rid of Moore, give your head a shake. I want him to prove me wrong.

Will we have a striker fit for this one? It's pretty hard to win any game without one.

Like a few others I'd like to see our team sheet before predicting, Blackburn in poor form but do have the leagues leading scorer, Sammie Szmodics 16 goals in 25 games, how we could do with a player like that, having a proper goal scorer makes a massive difference.

We'll go 1-0 down and it'll be game over. Wouldn't be surprised if DM serves up another defeat by 4 goals.
The deafening silence on Bojan looks like we will continue to be without a striker.
I'd love to be wrong on both counts.
Prediction - 3-0 defeat

I think we were linked with Szmodics prior to his move to Blackburn. Given we’re now at Wednesday, looks like Moore will be taking charge of Saturday’s game. 👎

Blackburn always seem to have somebody who scores a lot of goals, and not always a player you'd expect to score a lot goals. Szmodics has never had a goal scoring season like this before, before that they had Ben Brereton Diaz who added a name and was suddenly a 20 goal a season player, before that Adam Armstrong, before that Bradley Dack and of course Jordan Rhodes. Meanwhile we haven't had a 20 goal a season player since we sold Rhodes to Blackburn in 2012.

Without his goals we'd have been relegated again with a whimper.

I cannot see anything but another draw for this one, 1-1, and another very defensive display.

Going to be an absolute thriller this one. Another Hillsborough DM bore draw so watch out Kev......I would say Blackburn at the moment are probably worse than Wendies were when we played them in October.

I'm sure a lot didn't as we lost so many games. But even just off the top of my head, we stayed up by 3 points, and he scored winning goals against Brentford and Barnsley where there was 1 goal in it. I'm sure there were more as well. And whatever the case, he still scored them. Grant always comes to mind when people say 'we need a 20 goal striker'- he scored a lot but we weren't very good even with him in the side.

Has to be Marcus Stewart in 98/99 I would think. Nahki Wells got 18 in 15/16 I think (may not have all been league goals) and Karlan Grant was close as well as has been mentioned.

He should only score in games that we will win then? You can't save goals and bank them for later use. If we go 2 goals up we should stop scoring as they won't gain any more points.

Probably Wells/Kachunga promotion season Just checked, Kachunga 13 and Wells 10. Booth and Abbott in 2004-05 and 2005-06 as well. Abbott never seems to merit a mention these days, but his goalscoring record was decent.

3 - 1 Blackburn, Helik our defender to get ours.
And Moore to pack his bags after the game.

Probably Wells/Kachunga promotion season Just checked, Kachunga 13 and Wells 10. Knew Kachunga was our top scorer, but hadn't realised Wells had got anywhere near that many.

Abbott was a proper goalscorer. He told a fellow Polish friend of mine that his goal tally fell when Jacko had him tracking back, which Pav didn't much care for. Leon Knight and Andrew Booth in 2001-02 also both managed double figures.
