Sadly I posted it in another Town group (Huddersfield Town FC (Terriers)) and the only responses have been 1 like and a few comments about concentrating on the football and Americanisation of the game it’s just a measure of where the 2 clubs are presently. I started posting on 2 Ipswich FB sites 24 hours ago and have had 300likes, donations, offers to greet us with a pint. We are very close to £15,000 now which is amazing.

It's a massive effort and to be commended. Hopefully you'll raise a lot more yet.

Thanks to everyone that put a few quid in the bucket yesterday during our collection outside the ground. We raised a further £789 on the day. We are now at £16,000 with a few days to go. We’ll continue to raise awareness and push to reach our target of £20,000. Hope to see some of you at Ipswich. huddersfieldtownfoundation.enthuse.com/cf/biking-for-breakfasts-2024

When you think how much average players are on, £20,000 is nothing. I hope you reach and exceed the target. Fantastic effort.

We hope people will recognise, we are not a national charity with paid execs, just a bunch of random Town fans trying our best to support something in our area for our local families. Something positive to come out of this season. We will meet our target. We won’t stop pushing until we have. UTT!

Every player should give 10% of their wages towards this course.
Fair play to Helik and Turton for contributing 🫡

If everyone on here gave a quid they’d do £20k. Come on, put the chaos of this weekend behind us, come together and do some good for our local community.

People probably don’t realise, while we are supporting the Foundation breakfast clubs, the cycle ride has been organised and funded by the 18 cyclists. Each rider has paid £250 to cover the costs. 100% raised goes to the breakfasts.

Last post on here before we depart from the stadium tomorrow at 7.30am, calling in at Dalton Junior School breakfast club, then off to Lincoln. A 70 odd mile cycle. To date we’ve raised £18,200. Thank you to everyone that is supporting the ride. Probably bored of hearing it now, but if you do want to sponsor us, please click the link. See you at Ipswich. huddersfieldtownfoundation.enthuse.com/cf/biking-for-breakfasts-2024

I really hope you will attract more support to reward your efforts Me too, but going by some of the responses on the Fakebook pages I've posted the link on, they shouldn't hold their breath. Especially the Town ones, plenty of wankers using the same phrases people on here did about the prize draw. IE "the club should be concentrating on other things" "why are the club doing this" "the club want us to fork out more money after that season" I've tried explaining how much work and effort has gone in by the participants, to no avail.

Bitter people make bitter comments. This effort is so worthy of support. The Town Foundation is something for Town supporters to be proud about irrespective of the poor season Hi Pete, thank you for your comments and support. We have tried on numerous social media channels to raise awareness of the breakfast clubs and I believe we have succeeded. What we haven’t managed to do is convince Town fans that this is nothing to do with the Club, not that we should have to particularly. This is also not a Foundation organised or funded ride. We are simply 18 Town fans, from all walks of life and not all local, who have each covered the costs to do the ride, approx £250 each and all taken 3 days holiday to do it. What we are all 100% focused on is raising as much money as possible so that the local breakfasts clubs can continue to exist. The breakfast clubs are available to all children, whether they are eligible for free school meals or not. We’ll keep on posting till we have done the ride. Thx to everyone that has supported and we do understand if you don’t wish to but trust me, this has no effect on anything at the club. UTT!

Would be interested in how it all went, particularly yesterday, and this will bump up the thread to hopefully get the 98% to 100%.
A great effort.

Amidst the doom and gloom of the last few weeks comes some positivity. Thank you to all that has shown interest, engaged, helped increase awareness and contributed to the Biking4Breakfast cycle ride to Ipswich. Wednesday was cool and misty but we had a great ride to Lincoln City FC where we were welcomed by local school children and shown great hospitality by the clubs foundation. Day 2 we cycled 100+ miles to Cambridge through beautiful and flat countryside in glorious sunshine. Day 3 to Ipswich was grim! Unbelievably cold and wet but we were cheered by a garden of honour at Portman Road. Saturday was a brilliant day despite the result. The Town fans remained loud and proud and were welcomed by the Ipswich faithful. They were particularly generous with sponsorship around the stadium, in the pubs and bars and even on the trains out of Ipswich towards home. To date we have surpassed our target of £22,500. We set out to raise £4-£5k initially. The cyclists and support were awesome showing unbelievable commitment to raise awareness and raise as much as we possible could. If only there was the same commitment on the pitch eh! The fundraising page remains open for a few more weeks if you’d still like to make a donation. UP THE TOWN !
