I might be wrong but looked more like he was dizzy or unwell than an injury That's what I thought. Looked like they put some sort of monitor on his finger I thought, blood oxygen? He was walking round pitch at end so hopefully nothing serious.

Cant understand why Sunderland are up there as thought they were crap tonight and when we beat them earlier in the season
This win sets the Hull game up as thing we can pull away from the relegation zone
Nah Sunderland are a good side and looked threatening all game. They have good quality, we just nullified most of their threats.

Sunderland were far from poor! Very strong in midfield and took a monumental effort from the players to battle for that win!

Cracking result and sets us up nicely for next three games - all winnable but all tough too . Great man for man and really looked a cut above with Balker at the back. Thought Pearson and Rudoni worked perfectly on Clarke. Great to see some depth on the bench too . Ref poor - let loads go first half then not even a red for awful challenge . One honest question - were the players not playing for Moore or was he that incompetent ?! Answer... incompetent. I watched his first interview as port Vale manager today and he said almost word for word what he said in his first interview as town boss. Absolutely horrific. Great football club, met the chairman same ideas, project, great football club, great fans, great football club... Mind boggling that they’ve given him a five and half year contract 🤯

Special mention for Nichols, he's won us that as much as anyone else tonight. That 1v1 save and reaction v Lees was incredible That’s why he’s captain material ! 😉 I wish he wouldn't get booked for wasting time though. One more yellow in normal play and he's off the pitch and then suspension.

The disruptor was again immense tonight.....clark has serious quality but he did a fabulous job on him and to nab the winner an extra bonus.

Get in there Town, 3 points, clean sheet, staying up up up. Sunderland could probably argue they deserved at least a point and that might have been a fair result but great attacking performance from Town from the get go, intent, pressing and some resolve probably too many hairy moments at the end for my liking but a great performance snd a great 3 points. Good to see Burgzorg back too. That's the type of football the fans want a nice nervy game, creating chances and living on the nerves at the other end!!

Who's that Ward on the bench? Is he a B team player? Having seen his anonymous performance tonight I think he'd be better off playing in the B team. 16 minutes without a single touch….

There's no way we win that game under Moore.
An excellent performance, I thought.

Delighted!
This mini run is just what the doctor ordered. I kept thinking that Warnock was back as the players were once again relishing their roles. Only slight criticism is that we should have killed off Sunderland earlier but that is merely incidental as the ref again was awful and missed some obvious fouls in the Sunderland penalty area.

Great football club, met the chairman same ideas, project, great football club, great fans, great football club... Mind boggling that they’ve given him a five and half year contract 🤯 Especially with his record at Town, it's certainly tarnished his CV, he's 1 hell of a lucky bloke, will follow Vales results with interest!!

As many have said give it Worthington until the end of the season and go from there ( keep him on if he carries this on). We need a passionate leader who gets the players fighting for them which is clearly happening. I also think he does have some tactical/game management nous which makes a pleasant change. He has obviously taken on board what Warnock did last season in getting the basics right and playing to the squads strength. With Worthing plus a near full strength squad I would be confident in saying it is very unlikely we go down. They all seem happy under him in a very similar way to the change that happened with Warnock last season. It is also quite clear that our top choices haven’t happened for whatever reason. Let’s not settle for second best and disrupt the confidence that is building. He also obviously has the respect of our seasoned pros which for someone who is pretty young for a manager, who also was a league 1 player and who is in their first managerial role is no small thing. Totally agree that he should stay on for the foreseeable. I think one concern would be that we are probably surprising teams at the moment and it will be interesting to see, if he is given time, whether he can adapt and still get results when the element of surprise has gone. But I have the feeling that he’s going to get us to the finish line this season no problems.

Straight from the kick off tonight the ball was played forward to set up an attacking move, really got in their faces from the off and never allowed Sunderland to settle, a bit more stretched seconf half but thats was bound to happen, the players were knackered but its hardly surprising with the effort they put in, really chuffed tonight.

Wait till he gets them at Half-Time... Asses will be booted - And booted hard... 🤬 And they might just listen and win in the second half - Or else ! 🥊 🥊 Great comeback Sir Neil giving it laldy just now on BBC Radio Scotland... “That’s what you see from one of my teams when we’re 3-0 down” ! 😊 “I’m here to win football matches and not admire the countryside” ! 😉 “ VAR is a disgrace - Miovski was never offside there and an incompetent VAR operator has denied me a win and three points” ! 🤬 Ah welcome to the corrupt, bent and useless incompetent world of cheats with whistles, flags and monitors that masquerade as officials in Scottish Football Sir Neil ! 😬 🏴 😬 (Copyright of all SPFL Premier League Supporters) !

I'm absolutely shagged just watching that. My nerves were completely shredded the last 20 minutes. How great it's been to simply FEEL SOMETHING while watching town again. Each of the last 3 games have been brilliant in different ways. Can't fault a single player tonight, they were brilliant. Hogg coming on, and the tireless effort of Rudoni were the difference those last few minutes Rudi was absolutely knackered, he was holding his groin halfway through the 2nd half and just played through the pain

Pearson & Lees pre match press conferences have been quite damming of him and how he was setting us up to play.

I reckon they acknowledged the error just in time. Difficult decision now, does he get the gig until the end of the session or do they hire a new man. To be honest I'd let JW stay on and reevaluate in the summer. The players will clearly give everything for him.

What is wrong with these refs. First Blackburn on Burgzorg and now this. I can guarantee we're getting a red for absolutely fuck all very soon. Screamed for a red immediately as it was right below us. Piss take to only give a yellow for that The way he reffed the game, we're lucky he didn't book Matty for diving 😁
