Screamed for a red immediately as it was right below us. Piss take to only give a yellow for that The way he reffed the game, we're lucky he didn't book Matty for diving 😁 As shite as he was and I could be completely wrong about this but it feels like we always win when he refs us at home

Sunderland got what they deserved: nothing.
We harassed them, created the better chances, and on another night (copyright M. Fotheringham) we give them a stuffing. We've scored, hit the post, had one cleared off the line by what looked more than slightly suspiciously like an upper arm (which would also have seen the culprit given his marching orders), and been guilty of some powder-puff finishing. Sunderland only looked vaguely threatening after 88 minutes when they fashioned one chance (plus a misdirected clearance from an offside) that Nicholls saved brilliantly from.
Speaking of marching orders, how did number 14 stay on? A shocker from the ref. Right in front of us, clearly off the ground and wildly out of control in his frustration - a few moments after he'd clattered Spencer too, and immediately after Clarke threw himself to the deck in a woeful dive. Frustrated at best, and should have been off. But that summed the officials up: in Sunderland's pockets all night. And we still beat them, despite every effort being made to hand Sunderland something they didn't deserve.

Summing up my thoughts on tonight's game
3 points What a difference to turgid DM's game plans I thought we played better for most of the game on Saturday Maybe Saturday's game tired the players more than expected, but a little more strength on the bench helped Subs used better this time, some could have been a little earlier We somehow have to get fitter, but remain fresh for the upcoming matches 6 points from 3 games, just why did we hang on to DM for so long

Sir Neil and his Aberdeen v Motherwell starting on BBC 1 Scotland right now for on Sky Box for those with that facility...
(I can get BBC 1 Yorkshire on Channel 956 so probably BBC 1 Scotland will be a high number like that down in Yorkshire if anyone is interested in watching on) !

Rudoni and sorba were brilliant and all of a sudden Rudoni is playing inside and sorba switched wings. Totally disrupted us. Remove knackered players but no need to just switch positions. Was like watching Horton. He use to make one sub and 6 or 7 had to change positions

Great performance despite the ref trying his best to keep them in the game. Though JW got his tactics spot on and made some good use of the subs. What a difference to have subs that can come on and make a positive contribution - except Ward who just needs to fuck off back to the ‘injured list’ Only negative was the attendance which was a little disappointing but I guess it’s midweek, on the red button and apparently it’s Valentines Day 🤦♂️

We are going to lose games playing this way, but we damn well will win enough games to stay up. Drawing and losing under Moore would have been relegation.
Need a few weeks of just 1 game a week to keep up this style of play. Perfect time for injuries to clear up as we are going to have to rotate. Hogg back on Saturday, Wiles out.

Did anybody also think there was a 5 minute spell mid second half where we looked like we weren’t sure whether to go forwards or backwards?

Great result and deserved win. I did feel like we should have shut the game down a bit instead of still attacking in numbers very late on (eg the Thomas free kick which they cleared and very very nearly scored from). Made it very nervy. It's like a cloud has lifted and players look like they're enjoying themselves. The game could/ should have been very different if the correct refereeing decisions would have been given for Bellingham handling on the line to stop a goal - a red card and penalty. The foul on Pearson - stonewall red card. The players have got to be feeling confident now. On a side note (not saying Lees is shite but) how good could a central defensive partnership of Balker and Helik be? Balker and Helik with Brodie and Yuta at FB's, 2 with pace and all 4 great on the ball 🥰🥰🥰

We saw the game out very well imo.

Can somebody start a new thread where we can discuss our best starting XI and formation when all players are available? For the first time this season it might actually be fun 🤩

Sir Neil giving it laldy just now on BBC Radio Scotland... “That’s what you see from one of my teams when we’re 3-0 down” ! 😊 “I’m here to win football matches and not admire the countryside” ! 😉 “ VAR is a disgrace - Miovski was never offside there and an incompetent VAR operator has denied me a win and three points” ! 🤬 Ah welcome to the corrupt, bent and useless incompetent world of cheats with whistles, flags and monitors that masquerade as officials in Scottish Football Sir Neil ! 😬 🏴 😬 (Copyright of all SPFL Premier League Supporters) ! Motherwell had one disallowed as well - a bit less clear cut than Aberdeen’s that seemed an awful VAR call... Camera shot in on Neil and commentator said “I wouldn’t like to see his reaction if this stands” Aye - Sure even the media up here know Sir Neil better than he knows himself !!! 😊

It was josh and wiles replaced with DW and Burg. I understand that, but you compared him to Horton saying that he makes a change and does x, y and z. There’s been no evidence of anything like Horton styled subs in the other matches either, the one you are alluding to required rejigging because he wasn’t bringing on like for like players. We saw the game out well and were unlucky that we didn’t score more in the last 15 minutes

We'd have 3 with pace but I think Yuta's probably the best we have with the ball at his feet. And he's probably a bit better than Headley defensively, but Headley definitely adds something going forwards. Nice to finally have options though, isn't it 😁

Excellent second half and a deserved 3 points, but the last 10 mins + injury time was far more nervy than it should have been
Matos & Spencer superb again, Balker looks class, Wiles played well & Rudoni & Sorba were quality. Nicholls great too
The whole atmosphere around the ground is just so much better with DM gone

Tonight was a refreshing change and exactly how football should be played.
A welcome change from the borefests I've witnessed under various managers over the last few years.

Strong performance in an open game that oddly enough produced few clear cut chances. Spencer again excellent in defence, midfield and getting forward, Matos again full or running and tackling, Rudoni covering Pearson excellently and playing a bit when we had the ball. Up the pitch for most of the game by 15 yards, Balker and Brodies pace allows it. Unfortunate injury led to a slightly more nervous last bit but the truth is we could have had another goal or two, whilst they ran into the brick wall that is Town players covering each other and making challenges. Happy with all but still worried that Wiles is not involved for too long in games. Roll on Saturday, we will be giving it a good go..

What is wrong with these refs. First Blackburn on Burgzorg and now this. I can guarantee we're getting a red for absolutely fuck all very soon. Screamed for a red immediately as it was right below us. Piss take to only give a yellow for that I can't remember the last time I lost my shit as much as I did for the Ref only giving a yellow for that. I'm surprised I wasn't carted out the ground. 🤣

I really do not care that we had some nervy 2nd half moments. That was a proper game, fan involvement from minute 1 to the end of the game. Great to see that everyone is behind Worthy, bloody enjoyed that one.

Absolutely loved that performance tonight, we are a joy to watch when we press high and play with attacking intent. A little unlucky not to win more comfortably with a few of those decisions going against us (penalty, red card) plus hitting the post and having one cleared off the line. Rudoni should have scored late on but he was dead on his feet. Glad to see Burgzorg back.
Excellent performance from each and every one of them again tonight, keep it up…!!!
Darren Moore really did make watching us a chore.
