It surely can't be a coincidence that Mbappe has announced that he wants to leave PSG in the summer, just as town have announced André the Giant. Mbappe has less Championship experience than Hudlin and so will be 7th choice striker, 8th if Rhodes were to stay. He would also be 4th choice left winger. We definitely don't need someone like him.

Sneaky photo of Castle Hill - the building, not the dullard - in the background of the announcement graphic, there.
Top trolling, well played Town!

Well done to KN and his team. Someone not on anyone's list but theirs. Sounds an exciting appointment and let's hope he gets off to a great start

Although I'm in Germany, I'm not a massive follower of Bundesliga. My neighbour is a Schalke fan so I'll be asking his opinion of Herr Breitenreiter when I see him 😏

Think you will find this is my first post in nearly 3 weeks ! Is that since you said Darren Moore was going nowhere? He wasn’t going anywhere until he played Healy at right wing.

Ambitious, Brave, Exciting what more could we ask for? I’d rather this type of appointment than almost any of the names mentioned in recent weeks. Rather than appoint a “ merry go round “ manager we’ve got a plan and everything he’s achieved abroad fits perfectly with what KN has told us previously that he wants including the aim to get back to the Premier League. Hopefully, the shocking years since our PL relegation can now firmly be put into the past. Brilliant news in my opinion.

Definitely an exciting appointment. Like with any manager you never know how it will pan out for sure but he’s got a good record. Definitely feel like Nagle would have had to sell the club to him rather than the other way around.
Onward and upward.

I've just looked at his record and he sounds like a decent appointment, let's hope he can bring the feel good factor that Wagner brought to us! What does anyone else know an think of him?

Seems a very interesting appointment
Yes it’s a risk but quite frankly if we want to progress and push for the premier league we have to take risks - we have to find a way of punching above our weight and the team being better than it’s parts. That’s exactly what Wagner did with less backing than in the current squad mind. If we achieve what we should as a club of our size / fan base we ain’t getting promoted - that shouldn’t be a limit to us but we have to realise to get promotion we have to be different, take risks and it seems we have
I think comments ‘Hope more Wagner than Siewert’ are lazy - the only similarities are they’re German. There were comparisons in the background to Wagner & Siewert
His background is in the top divisions, has won promotions and has his own style which seem to make sense for what we’re wanting
I’ve seen some comments on win percentages - again lazy comment imo and need to consider what division, team resources etc
Good luck to him!

He’ll do for me. Like all appointments it will need some luck but not a merry go rounder.

Is that since you said Darren Moore was going nowhere? He wasn’t going anywhere until he played Healy at right wing. Who did Fotheringham play in the wrong position? Seem to remember you also saying he would be here until the end of the season - just before he was sacked. Please don’t say anything about the new guy.

His name scans quite nicely into the tune of 'Guantanamera'...............as in Breitenreiter, there's only one Breitenreiter, one...............and so on. I reckon I should patent it.............
