RIP Melc Always used to think he was a tribute to Clem (Stephenson) until he pointed out I was mistaken Sorry for your loss, especially with it being so sudden...much like my own dad 17 months ago

A very familiar name on here if you've been around for a while. Always sad to read posts like these, even more so when it sounds so unexpected.
RIP Mel and best wishes to you and your family Terrier10

Like many Town fans, I also go to matches with my dad. It's a special time together.
Always sad to hear of a fellow fan passing, and especially sad when it was a familiar poster on here.
My thoughts are with you and your family.

The father/son/Town bond is as strong as they come. I'm the same era as your dad, my dad started me off as a nipper, and I did the same with my eldest. Condolences for your loss, and your dad will be missed as a poster on here.

I can only echo what other posters have said and offer my condolences. Melc was a decent and fair minded poster. Me & my brother were in an identical situation several years ago when my Dad passed away and if it weren’t for him, we’d likely be watching lufc so a great deal to thank him for. It’ll be very raw at the moment Paul but believe me, things get steadily better over time. And he’ll be in good company up there. RIP Melc.

You may not remember me mate, but we were colleagues a long time ago in a previous occupation.
Like others on here I only knew your Dad through this forum but he obviously had a life long Huddersfield Town addiction and was well respected on here. You’ve done him proud with a moving tribute and I hope that this thread has given you some comfort as regards to his popularity.
RIP Melc.

So sorry to hear this Paul, sincere condolences to you and your family. This is an awful time for you all and I hope you can take some comfort from the messages on this board. I knew your Father for about 30 yrs, we first met at work, and for around a dozen of those we talked almost daily about the affairs of HTFC, our families and many other things. He was a good man and it was a privilege to have known him. Take care of the family Paul. RIP Melc
