Yes - a poor individual decision from a player on loan is why we're going down.
Dear me.

Singling out one player, one instance, is a really weird thing to do. It's the WHOLE season, every decision, every kick, every goal, every miss, that makes us where we are today.
Totally pointless and completely wrong to point out today's issues. An extra win under Warnock, Moore, Worthy could be all the difference. Today winning could make the difference, etc, etc. ANY game this season could have made the difference.

A disappointing result.
Thought we did well in first half. The set up going into games has vastly improved from the poor selections against Cardiff and Rotherham. Delighted for Radulavic and hopefully they gives him confidence. He looks the type of player who is mainly used in the box. No good at pressing or build up on oppositions half as gets out paced or out muscled.
Again, the left back position is causing issues. Headley struggled again today same as Coventry game. Just don’t have an experienced left back with Yuta out. Would try Jackson over Headley at the moment as a break maybe help him.
Otherwise I thought the back line was solid today. Maybe with Balker out, we seem more solid.
I really like Matos and Kasumu but their passing today was awful. Through balls were poor and we just kept turning over the ball.
Really liked Jones on Saturday but looked abit lost today in his first championship start. However he offers more than Koroma and at the moment Burgzorg (who we don’t know who is turning up)
Healy looks a good lad. Has a work ethic and fights like hell. Reaction to Burgzorg not passing was good to see tbh.
Think we are still in the fight by skin of teeth but we need lots of luck to get out of his hole. UTT

We're still well in the fight to stay up and have a relatively decent set of fixtures left, especially the home ones.
I'd definitely not be playing Burgzorg again though. I'm struggling to remember a player with as big a difference between how good he thinks he is and how good he actually is.

The moment we get relegated (if we do) is when we mathmatically can't stay up.
Stupid thread.

Sometimes, you know when it’s all done and dusted. I remember the second leg of the pay offs v Barnsley at home, when at about 60 mins, you just knew. Similarly, after the second goal v Posh.
But, we are nowhere near that yet. Loads of minutes left for us and all our relegation rivals to play. It’s all to play for and not defined by one poor choice in an extremely tight game.
There’s still hope.

There’s still hope. There is hope, but what there isn't is enough desire on the pitch, there doesn't seem to be that passion to fight right to the end in every game, at this stage last season you could see it and feel it and I was 100% sure we were going to do it. We can stay up, but the team doesn't really look like they believe it, too many half hearted performances. Seen people say that Rotherham, Windies and Plymouth look worse than we do, are they? People are thinking, can we escape again?? has our luck run out?? and it looks like a lot of the players are thinking the same. To pull this off again we need belief on the pitch, right now there isn't enough, we need a desire to win, to run through brick walls to get over the line, right now its not there To pull this off again we need 100% effort, right now we are getting 50% its not enough

There’s still hope. I’m with you. We are not down as it stands but Saturday is a huge game if we’re wanting to stay in the Championship. If Millwall turn up, play like a golden era Barca and beat us easily, then so be it. If we lose because we choose not to turn up as a team or lack the fight and desire, that I can’t accept and there have been occasions this season this has happened. Crowd has to be behind the team from the off, can’t turn if the team concede early and the players simply have to produce on the pitch to keep the crowd on their side. Every single game now is a cup final and we’ll see starting Saturday exactly how badly this group of players wants to remain in the Championship because if we are ultimately relegated, I can’t see many of them being picked up by other Championship clubs. I really, really wish Neil Warnock was back as our manager tonight because we would have one helluva better chance of staying up with him in charge. He didn’t just gee up an average bunch of players, he got the crowd back on side again. That’s all but gone less than 12 months on and it’s a damn shame.

It's easy to pick on moments at this point of the season but the truth is there will be many more similar across the other games we have played.
We aren't dead yet, and there will be other big moments in the coming games. Will those moments go in our favour? Who knows.
The truth is you get relegated on your performance over a season.

I actually don’t blame him for shooting. Most forward players would shoot. I was at the game and was only watching Burgzorg so didn’t really look who was in the middle and not seen any replays. Yes, maybe a ball across the goal would have been a better option, could have been a tap in or if he hit it with some pace could have come off a defender, but as I debated with the lad stood behind me at the game, I’ve no issue with a player having a go. Sometimes that would have nestled in the back of the net.

I know DATM is known for it, but this thread is ridiculous.
He is our second top scorer this season, in a season where we have struggled to score. The fact that our top scorer is our CB says a lot.
Yes he may have made the wrong choice on this occasion, but take away his other 7 goals this season and we would probably be mathematically down already.

I’m still in the keep him camp in all honesty. He’s a player that should be difficult to defend against because he’s a bit of a maverick. But he needs coaching. Him strolling off the pitch at 2-0 down the other day was one prima Donna moment too far. He needs to realise he has 10 team mates on the pitch. He’s the archetypal greedy bastard/bugliner you played with at school. I think he’s still got a couple more goals in him this season, let’s hope they’re crucial for us.

Remember it vividly, mostly for the police horses/dogs on the pitch and the fighting between the Terrace and the Open End.

I've blocked the Old Trafford game from my memory 😁 The 1992 game was something else though. Remember it vividly, mostly for the police horses/dogs on the pitch and the fighting between the Terrace and the Open End. It was known as black thursday if i remember rightly. It was a horrid end to a strange season, where we had been amongst the leaders all season until Chris Marsden got injured and we dropped off the pace, costing Eoin Hand his job, Ian Ross took over then Marsden returned like Lazarus along with getting Peter butler on loan and we had a storming finish to the season. If there had been another 3 games we would have gone straight up, but Butler's loan didn't cover the play offs and Marsden got injured again. Despite a very good draw at posh in the first leg we suffered from that so familiar defensive collywobbles we still suffer today in the second leg and were punished for it. Still to this day I think its the most gutted I have been to lose a game
