I've been there since 1965, seen some right crap, and honestly you couldn't pay me to turn up at the minute. I had 20th or 27th in mind, but I'd rather just go visit my one remaining Aunt, and go for a walk round Lepton and Lepton Woods. Not good eh, but just take into account, this is a guy in his 70s, the expense is bloody important, and I just cannot justify it. Life is as they say all about ups and downs, but there comes a point, where to be honest you just don't want the high or low of either. I'd rather see a butterfly or bumblebee in the grass at my feet, something working as best they can to do what they have to, than people just out for what they can get, and an inept performance. Hey, I played football, much less a level obviously, but never did we go out to look and be as inept as Town seem to be. Sure all the teams were at a similar level, but to be honest I thought that was the point of the pyramid system. Championship teams are Championship teams. Someone has to go, but it should involve some effort.

Free additional ticket for season ticket holders to give to their friends or relatives (online due to time constraints) on a first come first served basis.
Any season ticket holder who can’t attend should be able to let the club know so that the seat is reallocated at no cost.

Seriously, free tickets to partnership schools. The links the Club have made in the community are truly excellent. The kids and their parents/carers will come. Some might even come back.

However depressing it has been this season I’d have hoped that those who have grown up loving this club will recognise the need to go to this game and get behind the lads.

If we got to the Birmingham game where a win would send them down - discounted tickets for Aston Villa supporters. Maybe even free entry for villa season ticket holders...my best m8 is a villa supporter and absolutely detests Birmingham City in the same way we hate L💩💩ds..he,s desperate for us to send them down Fuck me no! Prince William might turn up!

The ONLY realistic way is the prices. Win the next game/start winning etc... are fine but not going to make more people come in my opinion, people that are on the fence will come with an incentive.
£10 adults, £1 kids.
Mum's/Dad's on the fence with children or with childcare responsibilities can then take their kids without spending a fortune and would do no matter if we win tomorrow or not. Same as a whole family might decide to go if that was the case. Similarly with people that only go now and again, if it's only a tenner they're more likely to go.

Amazing that the answer to packing the ground and having it full is generally to offer cheaper tickets, yet the club are instant on putting them UP for next season.
Makes you think.

School and university offers are the easiest Or offer tickets to local junior football teams Man City use their academy and facilities to grow their fanbase Part way down this article explains www.bbc.co.uk/news/resources/idt-sh/longform_manchester_cold_warHere's the bit... “Ten years ago all our kids were in Manchester United or Liverpool shirts,” says Matt Wackett, who coaches the under-fives, sixes and sevens at Egerton Football Club in Cheshire, just south of Manchester's urban sprawl. “Now most of the kids are in Manchester City shirts. “We can be quite cynical about these clubs and the way they are going about seeking talent. The emphasis is on casting the net far and wide, of bringing in as much talent as possible that will then be funnelled down as the years go on, whittled down to half a dozen kids. They are looking for the best players to make their club better. But it's also about exposure within the community. That's going to inspire fans and grow the name and the brand.” City have recently invited Wackett to bring his under-fives in to their Etihad campus for a coaching session with their staff. That's 30 kids, of all abilities, some barely able to kick a ball. “It's an example of winning the hearts and minds of parents as well as the kids,” says Wackett. “They have to invest in the parents, because ultimately they're the ones who have to take the kids there once or twice a week. “City do that pretty regularly for clubs all around the north-west, invite groups in for a coached session, see the campus and its facilities. “It's become a real aspirational thing – 'I want to be in a Manchester City shirt'. It's very attractive to the kids. If the same kids were asked if they'd like to go into United, some of them, in a childish manner, would have gone, 'Urgh, no, we don't want to go there…'” The best thing about that article? The bloke's name, Matt Wackett... Lots of rhyming opportunities there...

The only problem I see with the free school tickets is your not bringing in the type of people that will generate an atmosphere (unless you provide clappers too maybe). What about something like £5 per ticket and a free beer for everyone that arrives before 2o’clock, I would have thought the free pint money would be made back through people then being in the ground for longer buying more drinks. Everyone should have their vocal chords well oiled, or it back fires and we’re scraping amongst ourselves before the games even started! I'm not sure I'd even drink what passes for beer there for free 🤢

Are there any of your bowling mates interested in turning up for a quid, or will they have to put milk stout on at the bar?

Free travel for those of us who don't live in Huddersfield.Trans Pennine Express can get in the bin. Aye nice thought nnnlove... All being well I’m down for this one it’ll be for me - £95.60 (car + passenger on the Cal-Mac ferry) £70.00 (342 miles petrol West Island - Glasgow - via Connel & Back) £20.98 (megabus Glasgow - Manchester - Glasgow)... 175.97 (Travelodge Huddersfield x 3 nights) £17.00 (Train Manchester - Huddersfield - Manchester) if they’re not on strike ! £25.00 (Match Ticket) £30.00 (Huddersfield Taxis / Buses) £40.32 (Accomodation in Glasgow on way home) £474.87 (That’s before I put the first dram and pint over ma lips or the first fork of curry as well) which all in will probably double the price ! 😊 Ach well - There’s no point in being the richest guy in Nerabus Cemetery (like ma late uncle) where ma folks are and ma ashes will be but hopefully not for a few years yet of course ! 😉

You know I don't have any bowling mates,,I played one tournament and won the world title, then retired. The Town squad flourished at the Canalside at the time of my victory, when they banned us from the venue it was their downfall, they don't like winners spreading good vibes.

If anyone from the club is reading this ( ) I reckon they should waive that £25 match ticket. I'll buy you a pint.

I'm not sure I'd even drink what passes for beer there for free 🤢 Town Lager 🤢🤢🤢 In a box last week and the order was 10 pints if Town lager on repeat. £60 a round. What other choice did we have? Amstel? John Smiths? Shocking choice of drinks but great service and great hospitality. Surely, it cannot take too much effort to get Guinness, decent pales, decent lagers and decent ciders in? Surely?

I know we’ve talked before, but quick thoughts- Easiest ways to pack the place for the next home matches? Need realistic ideas to fill it up as much as possible and get loud and fully behind the lads. Appreciate it We have, remember? We spoke before Christmas. Kevin asked this very question regarding attendance and atmosphere to the Cowshed Loyal and a few other representatives from other fan groups and some members from the ATT panel. We sat chatting to you for two hours and at the time we reiterated the point heavily that winning games of football and simple affordable pricing helps considerably. Remember, it was Kevin who came to us and asked the question. Some will say, you should turn up make a noise no matter what. Last season, after a grand total of 5 managers, we mustered 8 wins all season at home, this season, after four managers so far, we got 6 home wins all season. 14 wins at home in nearly two full seasons for a club that was at the play off final two years ago and the Premier League 6 years ago. If I was the club, I’d open the gates and let town fans in for free but given that the club in all its infinite wisdom is so desperate to push prices up next season I think it’s safe to say that won’t happen. The fact that you as Kevin’s mate has come on to ask this question just shows you how disjointed the thinking is at the club, sorry, Dave, it just does. You’ve already spoke to fan groups and the wider fan base. Realistic? I’d make it £10 in all areas, kids free and free beer for all fans. The Cowshed Loyal does actually have a display planned for the Birmingham game, it was actually planned for Middlesborough at home last year however since the attendances have plummeted, we haven’t been able to do it. Here’s examples of things we’ve done in the past and what we intend to do for the Birmingham game /mediaviewer No matter what you think or feel, the fans have being doing their bit, it’s now up to the club and players to start pulling their fingers out.
