Without defending the players too much, because they deserve to shoulder some responsibility, our club has become a yo-yo. How many managers have this set of players had to change their game to? Recently, both times they seemed to get some sort of momentum (Warnock, worthington) they get it ripped away from underneath them.
This season should have been about consolidating ourselves in the championship, and ensuring that we make it through to the summer where we are. We can then set a new FFP budget and get it right in the summer.
Instead we decided to completely make a hash of it mid season. Nagle has run businesses before, he should know that upsetting the apple cart when things are looking good only ends one way. Not only has he ripped 2 managers out of their positions when things were going well, he’s replaced them with someone that has been brought in to change the culture and identity of the team, right in the middle of a scrap.
The players currently look lost, we have some good players in that squad, the first 11 should be more than good enough to compete. Nagle, your intentions are in the right place, and love your passion, but you’ve got to learn quick. Recognise that you have messed this up, fix it.
Next season we need to rebuild. Sometimes relegation is a good excuse to completely rebuild and use it as a positive. Get rid of the deadwood, promote youngsters, buy well, build around good young players with some old experience. IMO management stays, let him build something, invest well with him, change the culture, and learn the English game quickly. Make the team fight for you and give our club back, because at the moment it’s unrecognisable.
This years relegation sits with Nagle and Co. Rash decisions and poor recruitment

See if you can spot my sublime insight as to why we will be relegated this season.
Woeful running of the club since the summer of 2018 Extremely poor squad ' Rotten appointments at Chief Executive, Sporting Director and Head Coach level Early baths in games we could've gone on to win (Leeds and Rotherham)
Far too many injuries Unbelievably bad refereeing decisions (Bristol) Crap team selections Keep getting thrashed by similarly poor teams Inability to hold onto leads No plan B Gaping holes in our midfield and defence
Spineless players Heartless players Increasingly frustrating decision to keep our strikers on the bench Too many draws

Very generous marks. Koroma deserves a 1 for sending that simple sitter into orbit at 0-0, and Burgzorg deserves 0 for once again being the greediest most frustrating twat on the planet Watch Rudoni’s reaction to the non pass from that wanker Burgzorg. Don’t think I’ve ever seen a reaction like that towards a team mate.

Don’t think I’ve ever seen a reaction like that towards a team mate. He should have cracked him after the game. Burgzorg had 3 defenders and a goalkeeper in front of him, Rudoni had just 2 defenders stood next to each other on the line to beat to score. Even a little nudge to Koroma was a better option. The only players that can come out of this season with any sort of positive are Thomas, Helik and Rudoni, probably in that order. Largely for effort but also moments of quality. Kasumu and Pearson a small mention again for effort but both lacking quality. The rest should be ashamed of themselves, no matter who the manager is they've still got a job to do and the minimum requirement is making themselves as fit as possible and working as hard as possible.

Thomas gave some back to the Kilner Bank First thing he’s done in months. Not really. He (and probably Helik) are the only players who can actually walk away with any credit after this shitshow of a season.

I think they are turning on each other now. They'll be agents on the phone to them tonight in their ears telling them they'll have a new championship club come Summer time. No championship club will want any of these players apart from Helik and Thomas, perhaps Nicholls. Spencer, lees, Pearson and rudoni I think could see interest too. Not sure about Nichols, very average in all areas this season. Feels like almost every shot equals goal.

No goals or assists since Southampton away on 10th Feb, which is what I was getting at. I agree over the season he and Helik have been our best players, although neither of them have been amazing.

Assists are a bit of a red herring for me, in the sense that you can put in 250 great crosses or passes where a player is 1 on 1 or has a simple chance from 6 yards out, but if they miss all 250 chances, your assists figures look shit but it isn't actually anything to do with you

Here are my honest thoughts for where this squad is right now and what I think will happen or should happen going into next year.
MUST KEEP AND I THINK WILL STAY
GK- Chris Maxwell I'd keep him, reliable back up, only a few errors and experienced keeper probably on a low wage. Whether heJs first choice depends on Nicholls or a new GK being brought in. Contracted until 2025.
GK- Jacob Chapman Looks a good young prospect, had a good loan at Rochdale. I'd keep him and let him develop. Keepers develop slower because of the nature of their position. Another loan would suit him.
CB- Matty Pearson Keep, tries his best, limited ability but league one will suit him. Contracted until 2025 can see him staying.
CDM- Jonathan Hogg Move to a player coach role, give him a testimonial and slowly wind his career down. I actually think league one will be fine for him to play in but it's whether his legs can still handle it.
ST- Bojan Radulović Feed him some Sunday roasts, build him up and you never know he might become half decent. The touch is there just not the strength. Needs to bulk up a bit to be worth our while playing him especially in league 1.
LB- Jaheim Headley There is a footballer in there and I think he'll be good enough for league one.
CDM- David Kasumu Limited ability but will probably be good enough in league one, keep.
RB- Ollie Turton Keep, hopefully get back to his best.
CM- Ben Wiles God knows, should be a stand out in league one for us but it's whether he has enough heart to become that. Keep but want to see a drastic improvement.
LW/RW- Pat Jones Keep
CB- Tom Lees Keep, good enough for league one.
ST- Rhys Healey If he stays fit could score goals next season if given service.
Give these youngsters one more year to prove themselves.
Loick Ayina Mustapha Olagunju Kieran Phillips Tom Iorpenda Giosue Bellagambi Michael Stone Conor Falls Charles Ondo Michael Acquah
MUST KEEP BUT I THINK WILL GO
GK- Lee Nicholls I can’t see him being here next season. Contracted until 2026 but can see him moving on to maybe a promoted team or someone at the bottom end of the Championship. Been a good keeper overall.
CB- Michał Helik Must keep but will probably leave for the biggest fee. Contracted until 2025 but will be pleasantly shocked if he stays.
CAM- Jack Rudoni Will probably go but think for his career he should stay and become the best player in league one. Think he'll leave for a fee.
RW/LW- Sorba Thomas I think Sorba will leave, our best technical player on his day. However attitude can sometimes be questioned and he's inconsistent at times too.
RB- Brodie Spencer A must keep but I bet clubs higher up will look to sign him. A definite bright spark in this terrible season.
CB- Radinio Balker Keep but will probably want to go.
TO LEAVE THE CLUB
Josh Ruffels Injury prone, not good enough, sell, contracted until 2025.
Delano Burgzorg Loan to end and shouldn't be revisited. A £1m fee agreed with the parent club which I wouldn't touch, not worth a million and definitely not in league one. A poor loan overall, had potential but never used it.
Josh Koroma Contracted till 2025 but I'd look to move on and I think he'll look to move too. Combined over 4 seasons he's had 1 good season and a terrible loan at Pompey. Rest of the time either been injured or not good enough.
Brahima Diarra Wants to leave so let him not sure how far he'll get.
Tom Edwards Loan ends thank god
Alex Matos Loan ends
Kian Harratt Release, unfortunately a liability and overall not good enough.
Danny Ward Danny should score some goals in league one but I'd look to move on and bring someone fresh in.
Ben Jackson Sell, not good enough.
Yūta Nakayama Sell
Tyreece Simpson Sell, not good enough.
Jordan Rhodes Like Ward maybe keep for his goals but probably best he goes.
Kyle Hudlin Not good enough.
Scott High Sell not good enough
Connor Mahoney Sell not good enough
Aaron Rowe Josh Austerfield

Can't really argue with that, maybe put Spencer in your first list. In 2 of the last 3 games they've managed to concede 3 goals after the 82nd minute. Once is bad enough, twice is unforgivable and says everything you need to know about the spineless twats.

AB shouldn,t bother with training this week, cos what they have been doing obviously doesn,t work. Just give em a bottle of single Malt before the game it might get em up wound up a bit.
