So many posts on here tonight citing all sorts of stuff about L1, “this relegation is on (insert your villain of the piece here)”
Don’t mistake this for me not thinking we’re on the precipice here, we clearly are.
But there’s still some bloody hope FFS, even if survival would be far less ‘joyous’ than it was last season, simply because the manner of survival would be due to several other results & not the semblance of a decent footballing outfit on the pitch.
Feel free to bookmark this and throw it back at me next week or the week after, but we’re not down yet, stop talking about it as a fait accompli…
Is there some life in the old dog yet? We’ll have to wait at least another week to find out unfortunately.

Brum will send us down. Fancy Wednesday to win tomorrow and at very best a draw against Birmingham which sends us down anyway with our terrible goal difference.

I don't see anything but relegation. Players can't pass 5 yards, manager doesn't play our strikers and also the other teams in this scrap are better than us. It's a combo that will see us lose our championship status and let's all be honest it's been coming for ages.
I think we are the second worst team in the league and it will show that in 2 weeks time.
Pre game in the magic rock we all said the same. Relegation inevitable and a gigantic rebuild needed.
Over to Nagle to sort this out.

A draw next week is useless to us. Leaves us having to win v Ipswich and hope Brum lose. Not happening. Only a win gives us any sort of chance, and even then in reality we're hoping that Norwich play a full strength team and go for it away to Brum.

For the record I’m not disagreeing with any of the negative sentiment, you can’t polish a turd or sprinkle it in glitter.
It’s going to be a long week on here, even if Wed get beat tomorrow.

I said when they scored their penalty that that was us done and we were going down, that them equalising like that, when they did, how they did, would break us mentally.

This is the same group of players who fell apart against Southampton, Preston and West Brom in the second half. Fair enough blaming last week if today was the first time it's happened but it wasn't. We're shit and that's the bottom line, cos Stone Cold said so

We need Blackburn to win tomorrow then still in our own hands at least. Highly unlikely of course. Last week was a kick in the nads, no doubt, and been fuming all week, but the squad is shite and not up to the required level.

Not sure you can say that penalty broke us mentally. We won in the 94th minute 2 weeks ago then 3 days later we’re winning at Preston. We were then that mentally fragile that we conceded 4 in a half, again. These players are shit AND soft as shit fullstop. I don’t think the penalty incident was the final straw.

We need to beat Birmingham next Sat (obviously)
Wednesday to lose tomorrow and then only get 3 points max from their last 2 games
Norwich to lose v Swansea next Sat so they need something against Birmingham last game to be sure of play offs
Ipswich to win their next 2 games & Leeds lose or draw so Ipswich are already promoted when we play them last game
Then match Birminghams result last game
Not a lot to ask is it 😂

We've won just nine games this season and dropped 27 points from winning positions. It's fuck all to do with that penalty.

I think us not properly investing in the squad in 5 years, whilst releasing anything of value for practically fuck all and employing car salesmen to run the club is the thing that has royally fucked us up tbh.

We've conceded 7 goals in the last 3 games after the 84th minute. We're fucking pathetic, the players aren't good enough. Every single employee and the owner needs to stand up and take accountability. They've fucked up, they really don't deserve another chance.

It's the fault of Hoyle, Hodgkinson, Edwards, Cartwright, Nagle, Warnock, Bromby, Moore, Fotheringham, Schofield, Breitenreiter, referees, the EFL, the fans, Sky Sports, Jon Moss, Hoyle again, Ian Bennett, Simon Ireland and VAR. Definitely not the players.

Didn’t see the Norwich game, Leeds purely down to having no fullbacks, Cardiff scored with just about there only attacks, Bham , our 7 defenders just fell apart , thought our performances at Leicester and Soton were pretty reasonable( obviously caviated by some poor defending) , our injury list at times has been a considerable contributor to some performances, imo.

Leeds, Leicester and Soton in all fairness do have some Premier League players.
