Not sure if others feel similar but this season in some ways feels like an extrapolated version of the last playoff final. A feeling from the off that it wasn't going to end well, general apathy and mismanagement all round plus a few dodgy decisions which, annoying as they are, doesn't paper over the general inability to put the ball in the oppositions net nearly often enough.

Thank god that’s all over. It’s felt like death by a thousand cuts. AB came in , won at Watford ,should have beaten Leeds and then it all goes to to rat shit. He then turns into DM mark two. Walking out of Rovrum I knew we were done for.To set up in such a negative way against a team that had lost their last nine games was unforgivable. The manager is now slagging the players off ,no doubt the players will be doing the same. A total clear out of players, management and backroom staff is called for .I am told that only Hogg ,Nakaiyama and Diarra are out of contract . If this is correct we are stuffed.Who in their right minds will take on this bunch of weak minded failures. Brodie Spencer is the only exception He started with two strikers today, great, but with no one to supply them.we had a 15 minute spell when we went at them and then nothing. One shot leading to a goal and a smothered effort from Helik was a sum total on target. Simply not good enough as it has been all season . Have we seen any improvement since AB came in. I think not. He should be dispensed with by next Saturday. I’ve been feeding this addiction of mine since December 1963 so I am no stranger to relegation. The difference this time from most of the others ,with a couple of horrendous exceptions, it was so predictable from weeks out. It is all not bad news.I think I have five new grounds to visit next year 😀 UTT Sums it up perfectly

We need a proper style of play for next season rather than just relying on Thomas to punt hopeful balls into the box, controversial maybe but I actually think Turtons a better crosser of the ball. He gives the ball away in unnecessary situations too often for me also, any half decent offer and Id let him go. I’d get rid of Sorba. He’ll probably want to leave anyway, but I certainly wouldn’t stand in this way. There are better all round players and we can’t afford this type of luxury player that can only cross a ball. OTOH he can at least cross a ball which no-one else can!!

Can't wait to see once in a blue moon Koroma and Pat zero end product but runs direct Jones ripping it up for us instead. Koroma was fucking awful today. Was it Koroma who fired a fierce shot at our own keeper?

You know what kills me the most about today, the final whistle goes and everyone streams out,no anger about it all, no nowt, just rampant apathy. Nowt wrong with apathy. Indifference rules😀 I can't be bothered contributing to this thread ...

A sad day, but entirely predictable from back in september.... let the inquest begin.. The inquest should have began the moment we got relegated from the Premier league. It didn't, because most of our fans are too happy for mediocrity

good interview very honest - sounds like a good guy admits he has made mistakes think tactically very naive - suspect he thought the championship was not quite as good as it is , might be worth keeping but needs support from above for a big clear out and rebuild

If I were him, those players who were not team players and fooked of early, wouldnt even be on the bench next week. Show us fans who they are so we can "advise" them to fook and find another club. Disgraceful for those who did it !

They absolutely would, 100%. Easier for them to click when they have someone they know will score goals up top though. How many teams fall short because they don't have that? Just think back - last time we came up we had a side that misfired for most of the season, played within itself, and was a slog. We got up because we had a goalscorer. that team was much more likeable as well. The loan signing of beckford was one of the best strikers I’ve seen at town. Brilliant finisher and if he hadn't been injured for a spell might have scored a few more, of course praising an ex-leeds player dosnt always go down well with the obssessives, i liked him.

Totally moot point now though but when Nicholls went up for the corners what was the point in leaving Kasumu on half way line?
If you’re gonna leave one player back would it not make sense for that player to be the one who can use his hands?!

Anyone who expects a complete clear out for next season is going to be annoyed when Cartwright rocks up to the JSS with his smug fucking face all smiles, because he is "doing a good job" don,t ya know!

Furthermore, the 2 points we were robbed of at Bristol wouldn,t have made any difference as our GD is pants.

Apologies if this has been started elsewhere, but who are the players Breitenreiter was talking about in today’s press conference and who was the ‘leak’ last week? Methinks Andre should buy himself a mirror, take a long hard look at himself, we've become worse since he took over. He needs to go, thank you Auf Wiedersehen, mein Herr!

Who in their right minds will take on this bunch of weak minded failures. UTT Football agents have a nice habit of making a one legged donkey look like a Grand National winner. Add on YouTube showreels and hey presto, ‘You’ve got your move Son!’ That's true and why you need decent scouts and someone with more than half a brain that can judge a footballer in charge.

Brodie Spencer has great potential, he needs to start understand the importance of playing with his head up, to look around & learn how to defend the far post - UTT. I never heard any of the players shouting to Spencer about a man on, but at that level you really need to be aware of what is around you. He was like a greyhound the lad who scored for them though.

Because Nicholls is fucking 6foot5 and I've also never seen Kasumu competently win a header.

Yes you are right, the Lee Nichols of old would have been screaming, for Brodie to clear the ball, there was no shout at all! Far too many games where a passage of play breaks down because a Town player hasn’t been given a ‘man on’ shout from his team mates. A few times that’s what appears to have happened. Another failure of the basics if my assumption is correct.

We created less chances on Saturday than we did v Swansea, but scored one more goal.
A striker on the pitch, it’s not rocket science is it…
Too little too late…

Ah well back tonight in The West Island after my latest interesting adventures in Lovely Huddersfield and Beautiful Yorkshire ! 😊
So set off from The Family home in Connel on a lovely morning and enjoyed a nice drive to park the motor near a mate’s house in The Knightswood area of Glasgow and then hop on a bus and subway to the mega bus stand at Buchanan Bus Station in Glasgow to embark on the journey to Huddersfield via Manchester. A brand new bus on only its fifth journey I managed to blag the back seat which was great for legroom reasons and we set off, however only around eight miles into the journey on The M73 stretch the lady of colour and her wee fella aged around six in the seats in front of me were up and down and looking agitated and there seemed to be some sort of commotion which I couldn’t hear as I’d music earphones on. Bloody Hell I soon found out as he’d spewed absolutely everywhere, on himself, on her, on the window, on the floor, on the seat - Jeez Oh, Just how bloody much puke can a child’s belly possibly hold at all - That was everywhere ! - Full credit to her though, she moved him down near the front, ran up and down to the loo to get bog roll to attempt to clear it and seeing her struggling a paper I’d picked up for free in Glasgow called The Metro, well I took it apart from the staples in segments and gave it to her bit by bit to clear the whole cesspit up which she did - I even gave her a spare bag to chuck the debris into and she thanked me immensely for ma paper and bag logistics and I thanked her for being a responsible parent and cleaning up as not everyone might’ve done that and I offered her a whisky from The Diet Irn brewery bottle but she said she couldn’t as her RELIGION wouldn’t allow it - Well I’ll tell you no religion whatsoever will EVER stop me from drinking whisky on a bus or anywhere else - Anyway she moved down with her wee fella and I hope they had a pleasant onward journey to wherever they were destined for. The teenager in the seat in front to the left sprayed the whole area with her fancy perfume and that meant the rest of the journey was fine, music, booze and munchies and sleep on ma Huddy Town pillow and before I knew it I was in Manchester and in The Hounds and Hares Pub in my finest Town attire having great chat with both City and United fans, then the tram and the most beautiful train run to Huddersfield where I met my friends from Honely Sue and Robert for a curry at The Ghurka Sizziler which was very nice and then it was check in at The Travelodge on Leeds Road and out on the town for until The wee sma’ hours as we say up here !
And so to Matchday ! - Went down to the HTAFC superstore and ended up racking up £189 on clobber with a couple of retro tops among other things. Got a Matchday ticket and back to the hotel and then to The Plumbers Arms and The Vulcan and then the match - On the way up to the match The Birmingham City Fans we’re giving it big licks from their buses and it was The Vicky’s and thumbs down from them and for that I hope that they get relegated to League 1 😉

Page 2 Westie Weekend ! - And so fine margins and all that... We hit the bar and the ball comes out, they hit the post and it sneaks in ☹️ And we just couldn’t muster a winner and with that we stand on the cusp of League 1 😥 I didn’t boo the players but I certainly didn’t applaud them either as they simply don’t deserve it in this utter shit show of a season... So up the town it was to dissect things over a few jugs of booze and let it sink in that it’ll be Shrewsbury Town, Oxford United and Wycombe Wanderers next season for HTAFC but I’ll tell you what as long as I’ve breath in ma body I’ll be there to support them all being well ! Sunday was another good day in Huddersfield and on returning from a trip to Golcar a bird approached me just outside the bus station and asked if I had her bus fare to Wakefield as she was skint and I gave her ma all day ticket as I was heading to The Boy and Barrel to enjoy the fine karaoke singers and hopefully that Wakefield lassie finds better times ahead and more cash comes her way ! So Monday was up to Glasgow, no drama on the megabus this time and hooked up with a lassie that I know from The West Island for a three hour drinking session to put the world to rights which we did ! Then it was back to The Whisky Isle via the family home in Connel and the first half of the ferry was so calm that I feel asleep only to be wakened by how bloody rough it was in the second hour, but here I am home after my latest Huddersfield and Yorkshire adventure and tired but looking forward to the next one in November or December all being well !
Thanks again to everyone in Huddersfield for the lovely welcome once again ! 👍 🍺 🥃

When that young kid was sick on the coach, I expect you knew what sort of trip you’d be in for… Great posts Westie, keep ‘em coming and all the best for the summer.
Hopefully your next visit will see you posting about 3 points gained. 🤞
