Ipswich released Freddie Ladapo. He might be an answer (if he is fit) Stoke released Daniel Johnson as well, looked decent for Preston a few years back. Don’t know what’s up with him these days |

Seriously misjudged the quality of our strikeforce.... Carthorse has got alot right.... but then made a right fuckup of the final question.
Similar to last year, where we were odds on due to recruitment to go down, this year our squad simply isn't good enough to go up automatically...
Sorry Kev and Carthorse... you have done so much, really well.. yet you have landed on your arses at the final hurdle.

Counting 3 strikers where 2 have hardly played and one is prone to 'missing' lots of games, is merely a squad numbers game.
It does not matter how good or useful a player is if you can hardly ever pick him.
If we bring in players who then never seem to be fit, its incumbent on the club to then provide cover for these missing players??
The manager cannot be told how good players could be, if he hardly ever even gets to pick them??
Kasumu has his uses but weeks out at a time mean his usefullness is even more limited.
Said before, our injuries over the last couple of seasons really need close inspection. There is bad luck which could run longer now and again for any team and there is us...

This from the BBC website after Luton's defeat: "Luton will rue Elijah Adebayo's missed chance with the score 1-0, but they have now scored just two goals in four games and have one point in the Championship." He did really well last season in League 2 & League 1 and now, with a team after him who will be pushing for promotion from League 1, he has to stay at Luton where he is going to warm the bench behind strikers who do not look good. No wonder he doesn't look impressed. |
