Crawley a better investment than Town? I heard it all now. However their ground has been 100% full on at least 1 occasion this season whereas ours hasn’t so perhaps you are right. If I put a million into each club, I can already predict with reasonable confidence as to which one will return me the highest percentage growth over, say, the next 3 years. A million pounds would not touch the sides at town, where as Crawley it would make a massive difference

The poorest person in Crawley drives a Porsche & the last thing he wants to do is watch football (eg).......Towns like Harrogate, York, Oxford & Cambridge the majority have similar attitudes to football.

Getting back to the new manager, don't know if it's relevant but on Bet Victor there are a number of up and coming coaches on the betting list.... Justin Cochrane Brentford Barry John Murphy Man City Andrew Crofts Brighton Anthony Barry Bayern Munich Sticking my neck out & going to say we will have a name by midweek, think a deal is almost over the line with possibly compo/personnel terms to iron out........Locally based Sky bet (Lds) who we know have contacts at Town have not even started a book this time, tells me maybe they know something.

No, but my guess would be someone who's available with the speed of negotiation, also if another club were involved then the press usually get a tip/whisper & it gets leaked........Think KN knew deep down AB would walk after they met in Ipswich, let's hope he gets the right guy this time?

Nigel Pearson if he wants it. No way would Edwards & Cartwright dare risk taking NP on, he would pin them to the wall too nevermind the trouble makers in the changing rooms.......probably one of the reasons why so many would like it to be Nigel.

I think the players would like Pearson, as the reason he got the sack at Bristol, was due to the players being unfit and hardly training. I think or our current crop would love that.

I think it's the first sign of our new insignificance as a league 1 club...

Sat in eighth alongside Brum (7) after 12 games when both decided to sack the manager, one got away with it the other didn't........A dispute over contract talks was the main reason NP was dismissed according to local press & like the Blues sacking didn't go down well with fans.

To be fair to Pearson he has seemed to be a much calmer character since he came back from coaching abroad (Belgium or similar?). Years back I wouldn't want him anywhere near Town but these days he might work out.

Alex Neil? Mixed record with plenty of success, knows the league, did well with Sunderland in this league recently. Failed at Stoke but so does everyone.
I think it's important to bring in a solid coaching team too. Hopefully whoever is is can bring in their own team of quality experienced coaches.

Wonder if its Andy Richie coming back for a 2nd time of being 2nd choice. He knows the club. That’s golden coming from you, slating me and others for proposing previous managers being considered for the current vacancy.

You don’t do sarcasm, since it’s a form or humour, whereas you’re typically just an angry man frequently insulting people here, and even managing to argue with yourself.

I doesn't surprise me that it's over your head, coming from someone who thinks that Crawley Town are a better investment than Huddersfield Town. I'd love to see all these insults though? I could do with a laugh.

This is a massive appointment, we have to have done due diligence, gone through who is expected to leave and come in playing wise, and what our expectations are.
Whoever comes in, a non-negotiable for me is to have the vast majority of last season’s ‘team’ moved on. We need a fresh, clean start. If we don’t clear out all the rot from the wound, it’ll fester again.
Hence for now, as much as I’d love us to walk the league, any sort of prediction is foolish as we need to see who the manager is and who leaves/comes in.

It’s pretty much a no brainer, for anyone with a business brain, that the ROI for a fixed sum into rapidly growing and moving Crawley will be higher than a club falling through the leagues with 7 managers in 2 years and piling on more debt as it does so. This is purely from a financial investment perspective, not loyalty and emotion towards my club of 50 years. Anyway, not much point in debating further with you, an over-inflated sense of importance and ego because of your part time job (which incidentally you do well), it’s a zero sum game, ending with you insulting someone.
