All that said I can weirdly see Town scoring first. It’s one of those weird things that happen in Football and particularly on the last day.
You can just imagine the disbelief on soccer Saturday etc and then imagine word reaching Elland Road and then all getting their hopes up.
Before word slowly filtering through about each of the following 5 Ipswich goals…!!!
Sky Bet have a promo where on a 5 team acca you can freeze a result and get that paid out as a winner at full odds on that one leg, so I’m gonna stick a fiver on Town and 4 other absolute dead certs at lowest odds I can find on the basis of this happening with first goal!!!

Any remaining optimism drained out of me following the Swansea game. We’re getting smashed tomorrow again, we are totally crap presently and the sooner it’s all over, the better. Recriminations can start at 5pm tomorrow and the rebuild for next season on Monday. Not even sure what game I’ll watch tomorrow, if any.

Any plans from the club to thank the Town fans making the horrendous trip down to Ipswich tomorrow with our fate already sealed?

I don’t know why this bloke hasn’t had more game time this season. He did a cracking job for me when LN was injured. Whether it would have affected our outcome is obviously moot, but I do think he’s a good keeper. LN is equally good, but hasn’t produced the same level of form when he first joined us. I do hope that Maxwell has a blinder, but then lets one or two in that are unstoppable, or defensive errors. I think we can probably count on the latter more… Anyway, UTT, get this season put behind us after tomorrow, it’s been a stinker… Because he got injured when he had his chance to stake his claim to be number 1. Nicholls then came back in automatically and hasn't been out of form or injured since Maxwell returned to fitness. No fault of his own, but such is the life of a goalkeeper. The one position we have no problems. Lee Nichols, has had a poor season, started in the first game of the season at Plymouth. He was outstanding in the first season at Town, last season & this season, by comparison have been disappointing. Many have highlighted the change of goalkeeping coaches, may have affected his performances, it certainly can't have helped. Hope Maxwell has a blinder tomorrow, he'll probably need to play 'out of his skin.'

The one position we have no problems. Of course, I’d forgotten about that. We had that young lad in v Hull, saved a pen and gets shafted by a shank from that ex Leeds pillock. Another passage of play that should really have made us realise how it would all end… 😂

Just talked to my father who is 93. He was talking about his father, my grandfather, who will be turning in his grave at recent events. My grandfather watched the team through the 1920s. He finished in the mill on Saturday lunchtime and after a few beers in the White Hart, got a taxi with a load of mates from New Mill.
My parting words to my father were as always, "Ring you tomorrow when Town have lost". This is usually quite a funny sign-off, but tomorrow it feels like a certainty.

Watched BBC news. Item on Ipswich and their auto-promotion tomorrow if they can win their last match. Fortunately, they didn't mention us in any detail, but it still hurts. Getting the right mind-set for tomorrow is going to be a challenge. Come on Town, give us a good game. Hope vs Humiliation.

A nice 0-0 or 1-1 would be better than any win in my book. It would show that we still had a bit of pride left, but at the same time denying them lot down the road automatic promotion back to the PL. I admire what has gone on at Portman Road over the last few years and wish them well for the future, hopefully with them sat at the top table. I hope we can get our shit together in time and follow a similar path. Credit to you all that are travelling today and tomorrow on that long journey to Suffolk, to just witness the last nail being firmly driven into our Championship coffin lid. 👏🏼

Kieran McKenna is from Enniskillen (where I live) and suddenly they’re all Ipswich fans here.
Bars offering free pints today if wearing an Ipswich shirt.
It would be nice if, for once, we could make life difficult for them and put up a fight.
Can’t see it myself with these pricks representing us.
I reckon we’ll be 1-0 down in the first 10 minutes and downhill from there 😂🙈

the thought of going down and turning into prime Man City and doing them 1-0 sending Leeds up as we get relegated would be so town, just hoping for a spirited performance and a 1-1 so the fans crazy enough to go down today have something to celebrate 🤷🏻♂️and we all win 🥳

No pressure on AB then, having said the shirkers and troublemakers will be left at home ..so the team will be 'fully committed' players only.. Let's see if we notice the difference. Could be his last game, and we'll likely not see half of the players again..in a Town shirt.
I'll go for 1-0 Town, then 1-1 at half time..and 1-4 by the end...seems a familiar pattern,

We are already relegated so who cares today. Just don't get battered. Have some semblance of pride, and do the right thing...stop them six fingered chestwanking twats from getting the automatic promotion they genuinely believe should have been given to them by rights.
