Gentlemen I’ll start with the positives. I thought Harold Wilson was a good bloke, I quite like John Smith’s (but prefer Theakston’s) and I really, really hate Leeds since Lee Bowyer got Marcus Stewart sent off 24 years ago. In the debit column, I’m also an Ipswich supporter. I’ve been to enough home games this year to qualify for day 2 of the ticket sale, but they had all gone by the time I reached the front of the queue. I wonder if anyone could help me out by buying two tickets? I know I’m a cheeky sod to ask, but I’m a quiet old guy who’ll dutifully clap your lads in the away end, and I know what it’s like to have a brilliant history, a dodgy owner, and to see hopes turn into disaster. Fortunes reverse and maybe I could do the same for you one day. Do drop me a line if you’re feeling kind. I’m after two tickets. I’d be more than happy to give you something for your trouble. Thank you, Neil. I don't think mentioning Marcus Stewart was a very smart move really.. |

Mate, as much as I would most likely do the same, no one is stupid enough to risk a ban. However they are stupid enough to kick off at the game, given how shit we are, sunshine and beer. Do yourself a favour. Dont go in our end. Good luck. Hope you go up. You’ll hate it when you are there but it’s all about the journey. Ooooh no please don't ban me from town games! |

Had a few Ipswich fans and friends of Ipswich fans asking me for tickets. Or if I know of anyone who can get access to tickets. I do remind them that I live in America and have done for almost a decade and that most of my friends either can't be bothered watching Town these days and/or watch Golcar instead.  Not a bad idea if we just get a small block together and let their fans in and celebrate their big day. Not as if we're going to be overly excited about watching town at the minute. |

Must admit this is one game when I would hope you could have unsegregated seating & it would be fine.
Except some football fans are dickheads.
Hopefully Southampton smash the Chest-wanking bastards on Saturday & it leaves the result of our game (which will be an Ipswich win anyway) moot.

This bemuses me. Some people genuinely wishing to pay someone a few hundred pounds to watch a football match. Yeah it’s a big game, but it’s not as though they haven’t been here before.
You’ll see it on the telly, you can join in the celebrations outside the ground after.
Save your money and buy a bottle of champagne in the pub…
We do live in the ‘I was there age’ which is great & I get that feeling. But to pay ten, twenty times the face value of the ticket is insanity…

My dad is over from Oz and this weekend he’s staying with me in London - he was a die hard fan before he moved out and wants to get to the Ipswich game on Sat - I tried to get us tickets but have no purchase history - wondering if anyone would be kind enough to help out - I’ll obv pay for the inconvenience.
