Ipswich get awarded a 110 min penalty - up steps their striker - it smashes on the underside of the bar downward and out - total confusion - ref sprints to lino who clearly states ball was over the line....Ipswich get a draw - tele cuts away to Beestonite Towers where the DIRTIES are celebrating promotion.....now that would make up for the shitshow of a season we have just had !
Back to Portman Road - where everyone is singing Leeds Are Falling apart again and Town Fans are congratulating the Tractor Boys with hearty slaps on the back ....
Tele cuts back to Beestonite Towers and focus is on the obligitary 12 year (and his inbred stepdad with a big belly and no teeth , covered in Borstal Swallows) wearing a retro shirt crying his eyes out .....
Evening hightlights clearly show the ball touched the line by 1mm -

Madness is if we pulled off some miracle and gained promotion twice in a row, the 10 year ST brigade would still get preference over the fans heading down to Ipswich tommorow. No bitterness at all 😂. To be fair this comment is tongue in cheek I enjoy trips away all round the country and even though tommorow is a strange one I’m still quite looking forward too it. Don’t know how folk do it week in week out on the town coaches though ( dull as dishwater- always a last resort even if it’s free) |

Their fans were great that day, despite them knowing they were already relegated. Now it's our turn. Who'd have thought it? I expect the Ipswich fans will treat our lot with great respect and sympathy, even when we sneak a last-minute winner. (In my dreams). |

It's only around 5 minutes walk from there to the ground. UTT |

Isaac's is the best pub to aim for after the match . It's a big pub with loads of different bars and on several floors . Probably a no go before the match , and the station hotel across from the station is the away fans designated pub . A bit scruffy , but cheapish and friendly staff , plus only a short walk to the ground.

I like my real ales but if I'm out afternoon/teatime/night , which I was , I tend to get the lowest alcohol lager there is.. Out now , so today might be the same. As for the rest of em , three enjoyed their beers but fourth's looked like someone had poured a sherbet fountain into a urine sample. |
