Sat on the coach just about to depart from stadium. I am thinking back to the Birmingham game when we were awarded a direct free kick just outside their penalty box, midway through the second half. I turned to the guy next to me and asked him if he could recall the last time Town scored direct from a free kick.
Have we forgotten something obvious ? I’m sure someone on DATM could jog our memories.

Did Mooy score one v Wolves in a 2-0 away win in the PL? Or were both his goals that day from open play?

Yeah Mbenza decided he could take free kicks. Nahki Wells got a last minute one from the very edge of the box.
Craig Maskell was good at them.

You need to be able to shoot properly to score direct from a free kick. That rules most of our current players out!
