If we go into next season thinking mid table will be fine, we'll be lucky to get mid table. You have to aim high. Remember Wendies & Plymouth massacred that division last year & both only just survived on the last day this season. Ipswich have totally out-performed a lot of expectations but there is no way the first two mentioned are much better than us. Yeah, but Sheffield Wednesday had a brilliant manager last season!

Disappointing? Yep. Disaster? No. Nobody dies Nothing changes in the grand scheme of things, and if anyone is worried - I've been to Cambridge, it's not that bad! Yeah i know i meant in footballing terms for us as a club. You were right, it has been a bloody disaster - he promised us 'exciting football', and the prospect of promotion. He got it all wrong from the kick-off. Can he turn it round? He needs decent advisers and a bit of creativity. We can but wait and see.

I guess we'll have to hope we're onbard the HMS Piss the League and that we'll have won all 4 tiers at some stage come this time next year.

Seen us achieve automatic promotion twice. 69/70 and 79/80. As I turn 70 this year, a hat-trick in my lifetime would be good.

There's a graphic doing the rounds that shows statistically only 20% of sides relegated from the Championship to League one bounce back in the first season It's sobering but we may need to lower expectations as a fanbase. It's more likely than not that we'll still be in League One in 12 months time And I'll bet Rotherham alone took a whole chunk of that 20%

"This relegation is a godsend", no its not its hugely disappointing and a bloody disaster. Disappointing? Yep. Disaster? No. Nobody dies. Nothing changes in the grand scheme of things, and if anyone is worried - I've been to Cambridge, it's not that bad! Mate, I live in Cambridge, it really is!

Mate, I live in Cambridge, it really is! Actually, only joking. It's a great place to live. And, easy away days to Cambridge, Peterborough (fingers crossed) Stevenage, Charlton.... Ok, I know, you don't have to tell me......

I've seen 3 automatic promotions, 69/70, 79/80 & 82/83 plus 6 Play Off Finals, EFL Trophy Final, League Cup semi final, FA Cup quarter final and a Youth Cup Final. All that in 56 years, what more can a man ask for? I've been side by side with you throughout those 56 years. Realistically all I've ever wanted is for us to be competitive in the second tier. For all our ups and downs I feel right now that we are light years away from that.
